Why is it that lingerie is always so darn expensive?  I love going into places like Victoria's Secret to shop for cute and frilly undergarments, but I stopped going there because the prices are just way too outrageous for my frugal budget.

I've noticed that most of their bra and panty sets cost around $100, unless you happen to catch what you really want on sale or have a coupon.  Thankfully, there is a store out there with the smart and sexy gal in mind, called appropriately enough...Smart & Sexy!

The average price of their lingerie is only $15.00 per piece!  Now that's more like it!  I mean, why do most stores charge so much for lingerie when there is so little material involved?  :)

Smart & Sexy hand-picked three garments from their lingerie selection and I have to admit that I was intrigued and uncertain at the same time by their choices.  One of their picks, the black lace push up bra, was something I definitely would have chosen for myself.  I currently have many bras of this type in my dresser drawer right now.  But the other two selections, the passion pink chemise and the electric pink skirted thong, were different than what I would have chosen.

I've never been one to wear a see-through chemise, but it did look beautiful and I wanted to see what it would like on my body type.  My favorite item turned out to be the one I would never have chosen.  The electric pink skirted thong was very sexy and was made of a hot-pink silk-like material with black stitching, bows and lace accents around the edges.  I had never seen anything like this before and since my husband loves girls wearing boy-shorts, I just knew this would be a hit with him!

I really wish that I would have been sent the matching bra for the skirted thong, since I loved the thong, but instead I received a solid black lace push up bra.  There wasn't anything really special about this bra except for the see-through ribbon used for the bra's straps.  These straps looked very sexy and unique against the skin and drew your attention to the black bow detailing at the top of the cups and in the center of the bra.

Unfortunately, the bow on the left side of the bra seemed to rub against my skin and irritated it rather quickly.  I have to say that this bra didn't do much for my cleavage either and I probably won't be wearing it much unless I can find a way to stop that left bow from rubbing me.

The pink chemise is something that I would really love, if only my midsection were a little flatter.  Currently, I have the dreaded "pooch" belly and in order to look sexy and alluring in this chemise, I would recommend a six-pack belly, so as to look more like the model wearing it in the picture above.

What was absolutely wonderful about the selections I received are that all of these pieces of lingerie seemed to be of a very high quality and the pricing of Smart & Sexy lingerie averages around $15.00 per piece!  This is wonderful, for now I can try new and unusual pieces that I would normally shy away from and not worry about breaking the bank in the process.  When you are able to purchase top of the line lingerie for bargain prices, the sky's the limit to what my new undergarment wardrobe will look like!  Thanks Smart & Sexy!
