Review - ~ The Social Shop


JoeShopping.comShopping is one of my favorite pastimes, and there's nothing better than finding a tremendous deal or sale and telling the world about it.  I don't know how many times I've gathered with girlfriends and the topic of bargain hunting comes up.

Usually, the next few hours after that are spent discussing everything from where to get the best coupons and who honors just about all of them, to which clothing stores have the best seasonal clearance sections, etc.  Just as men love to swap hunting and fishing tales, so it goes with women and their shopping stories.

Nowadays, social networking sites are a quick and easy way to keep in touch with friends and family from around the globe and is a site which combines the best of both and socializing!  Keep reading to learn more! is basically a combination of comparison shopping (like or, crossed with the best parts of various social networks (Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, etc.).  Users can post photos of themselves with their newest outfits, add videos of themselves trying to take an action figure out of its packaging despite all those twisty ties, write a product review of the millions of products in their database, write a blog post about their fondest birthday presents, share their latest shopping adventure, etc.

In short, it's a hefty social network themed around shopping. They also have a slew more features planned over the next few months, so what you see now is just the beginning. doesn't actually sell anything on their site. Instead, they show you the best/cheapest places on the Web to find products and then send you to those places. There is a host of cool and unique nooks and crannies to discover, and what's great is that you are rewarded all along the way with cool points and even funny profile badges.
