Budget Busting UK Summer Holidays

Summer HolidayThe recession hit families in the UK pretty hard, and as a result the nation have tightened their collective belts, and started to cut back on life’s little luxuries. Unfortunately one of these luxuries is an annual holiday abroad.

Not to worry though, the weather has been uncharacteristically kind in the UK this year, so it’s time to rediscover some of the wonderful places that are right on your doorstep and try one of these great UK family holidays.

Living on an island has some big advantages, and you are never too far from the coast regardless of where you are in the country. Britain has many great seaside resorts, which used to be the holiday of choice before flying became the norm. Rediscover some of our wonderful beach towns and Jurassic coastline and head to the coast with your family. You will find many great things to do as well as the traditional ice-cream and fish and chips by the waves.

Holiday Parks

If you are looking for a truly family friendly holiday with something for everyone, from the smallest to the tallest, then a holiday park is a great option. There are loads to choose from all across the UK and you are bound to have just as much fun as you would overseas. Whether you prefer organised activities for the kids, or just want to enjoy some quality time with your family you can find it here. Beat the budget even more by entering a competition to win a Butlins break at Cushelle Online.

City Breaks

City breaks may not be the first choice for families, but with such a wealth of history they can be great places to take your kids. There are many big museums in the UK’s wonderful cities, as well as heaps of other child friendly activities like swimming and theme parks.

Going abroad has become the go-to option for holidays, but you don’t have to have a passport to have a great time. Stay put, and make the most of the good weather by staying in the UK for your summer holiday this year.
