Toddler Tuesday ~ It’s the Summer of the Kiddie Pool!

Rate this post

Now that my daughter is able to walk and run about, the start of all my days begin with one word..."SIDE!"  This of course means outside, which is where she wants to go from the moment she wakes up!  We play outside all day now, which normally wouldn't be a problem, but unfortunately the mosquitoes are also playing outside all day too.  It's also already 90 degrees in the shade and so, by the end of the day, we are both hot, sweaty messes!  Fortunately, Riley has her kiddie pool to help her beat the heat.  Here's a few of my favorite pics of my summer bathing beauty!  :)

Melissa @ Mommy Living the Life of Riley: I'm a former 7th grade Science teacher turned stay-at-home mom that lives in Houston, Texas. I am married to my college sweetheart and have a beautiful daughter named Riley, that definitely keeps me on my toes! I am also involved in starting a small business which would both manufacture and sell an invention that I've patented, called Toothpaste 2 Go. I love interacting with my readers and hope to learn as much about you as you learn about me!

  • Hello, First and foremost I love your website!! Your daughter is so cute! She reminds me of my daughter when she was her age. My daughter is now 8 years old, and I also have a son who is 13. When I was reading about what you said about the summer, I get so excited, because I love the summer, because I take out the kids a lot and we have so much fun. We go everywhere together and it is great. I also see that you was a 7th grade teacher and my son is in 8th grade now and graduating so it is an exciting time for me now. God bless you and your family and I look forward to visiting your website regularly.

    • Hi Vidal! Thanks so much for your very kind words! I'm so glad you're here! Yeah, the summer is great...we're taking Riley to the beach for the first time tomorrow and I'm super excited! It must be great to have both a daughter and a son...you get to experience it all! I did use to teach 7th grade and boy, is that a weird age! They are really starting to become little adults then. If your son is an 8th grader, I bet you've already noticed that he's matured a lot this year. At least I always did. When my students would come back to visit me once they were in 8th grade, they were so different...so grown up! Thanks again for stopping by and I look forward to talking with you again soon! Have a great day!

      • Hi Melissa, how are you and the family?

You are very welcome for the kind words. Thank you very much for your welcome here. It is a great site! Yes, you are so right they are like little adults. I look at my son now, and he has a small mustache. He has already outgrown me, lol. They grow so fast, but whatever is in the water how come it wasn't there when we were growing up, lol. Thank you again, you have a terrific website.

All the best to you and your family!
