Wordless Wednesday ~ My Baby’s First Day of Preschool

5/5 - (1 vote)

The day has finally arrived that every mommy dreads, yet looks forward to at the same time.  My little girl is attending preschool!  Riley started classes last Monday and attends three days a week from 9 am to 1 pm.  She gets so excited to "be a big girl", carry her own back pack and head off to school each morning.  I'm just so proud and excited for her!  I remember how much I used to love school and I know she's really flourishing there at her preschool.

Of course, the house is awful quiet and uneventful with my little sidekick gone and at times I miss her terribly...

So begins the never-ending battle where the parents hold on tight, while the kiddos fight to be free...wish me luck!  :luck:

Do you have any memorable moments from when your little one(s) went off to school?  Please share, I'd love to hear them!

  • Aww, Good luck! I can't take my son to preschool yet. He just turned three and I think I'm am just going to wait till he goes to kindergarten. I think I would have too bad of separation anxiety. Your a very brave mommy.

    • I know what you mean! I didn't think I could do it either, but she was just so excited about going to school and she loves it so much now. I don't think we're going to do more than 3 days a week though...I can't bear to do more than that! :)

  • Awww so sweet! With each one the experience was so different. I'm sure with Sawyer my last it will be emotional like with my first. My middle was so excited it was hard not to be just as excited with him.

    • Thanks Jennifer! I know what you mean about your middle child being so excited...that's how my daughter was. Her excitement was contagious and made it so that I wasn't so sad to watch her go...after I got home though and she wasn't there, that was a different story.

Good luck when it becomes Sawyer's time to go...he's so cute and I love seeing the pics you post of him on your blog! :)

  • Hi! I love your website. It's so cute and friendly. I am also a mom of two wonderful kids. My eldest is just a 2 year old boy. I am actually excited seeing my kids going to school and learning new things. I will be a hands-on mom in this and will be their good teacher as well. :)
