This post brought to you by Sprint. All opinions are 100% mine.

I've only had it happen to me once and it was many years ago.  My cell phone was stolen out of my purse while at a party and it was absolutely devastating.  Many people can't even imagine what it would be like if suddenly, all of their personal and business contacts, children's pictures and other invaluable information stored in their cell phone suddenly went missing.  My husband, for instance, still doesn't know what my phone number is for he is so reliant on the data stored in his cell phone.

That's why Sprint has gone above and beyond to try and protect its customers from this sort of catastrophe through the Sprint Total Equipment Protection App.  This app comes free of charge to all Sprint customers who have enrolled in the Sprint Total Equipment Protection plan.  While Sprint customers typically have 30 days to decide whether or not they would like this coverage added to their plan, for a limited time, Sprint has decided to open enrollment for the Total Equipment Protection plan until August 30, 2011.

With Sprint TEP, you can take advantage of full cell phone protection that covers your phone even after its warranty expires.  Now if your phone happens to be lost, stolen, stops working due to a malfunction or even gets dropped in water, you're fully covered at a cost of only $8.00 per month.

This protection plan now has even more added value because the Sprint TEP App is bundled with it.  What is so remarkable about this new app?  Just look at what it can do:

  • Locate your phone
  • Lock your phone
  • Sync contacts
  • Remote wipe phone
  • Sound an alarm

Now that's powerful protection!  So if you're a Sprint customer and you'd like to ensure that your cell phone and its valuable information are covered no matter what, make sure to enroll in the Sprint Total Equipment Protection plan before August 30, 2011.
