Colorforms Magic Fashion Show ~ The Dress Up Toy That Makes You the Head Designer

Rate this post

What little girl doesn't like dolls or playing dress up?  I haven't met one yet, up to and including my own daughter.  Riley can play with her dollies and stuffed animals for hours on end by just changing their clothes and shoes around and inventing new fashionable outfits for them.  I love anytime she gets in the mood to play this game with her dolls, for the amount of creativity and imagination she's using then is truly limitless!

Colorforms has taken this classic girlish game of "dollie dress up" and went to a whole new level with the Magic Fashion Show.  Recently, Riley and I had the chance to review this hot, new holiday toy.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Magic Fashion Show from Colorforms, which retails for $24.98.

Since 1951, Colorforms has made basic, wholesome tools for the imagination that engage children and satisfy their thirst for creative expression.  That's why, as passing fads come and go, Colorforms remains a favorite childhood activity.

The Magic Fashion Show is recommended for children ages 3 to 8 years old and lets kids dress their own runway models backstage in the newest fashions.  Turn the wheel to advance them along the "catwalk" as they show off each new ensemble.  Create nearly endless outfit combinations from a plentiful wardrobe of Colorforms Stick-Ons apparel and fashion accessories.  Here's what's included in the Colorforms Magic Fashion Show:

  • Fashion Runway with Spotlights that Really Work

Riley absolutely loved taking these five, sturdy cardboard dolls and changing and rearranging their many outfits that were included with the Magic Fashion Show from Colorforms.  Each piece of the dolls' wardrobe could be reused over and over again for they were made from vinyl stickers which clung to the glossy paper of the dolls themselves.  The real fun though was when Riley would get to take them for a spin down the kid-powered catwalk.  Her favorite feature, without a doubt, was the runway lights which actually lit up.  I saw Riley trying to promenade her other smaller dolls down this catwalk too and she played with the Magic Fashion Show for hours.

If you have a special little girl on your holiday shopping list, then I highly recommend the Colorforms Magic Fashion Show.  Maybe you'll be inspiring the next Vera Wang, all while having a ton of fun!

  • I love Colorforms. I spent many hours playing with them when I was a kid in the 50s. I didn't even know they still make them.
