Review - Be a Fit Fashionista in Athletic Clothing from Ellie

EllieIn an effort to slow down the hands of time and keep myself fit, I've taken up running.  My favorite place to run is along the many sidewalks and trails surrounding my neighborhood.  I have to admit that I don't necessarily enjoy running, but I haven't found anything else quite like it which whips my cardio level and endurance into shape so quickly.

In order to achieve my personal best while running around the neighborhood, I must zone out.  That's why the clothing I choose to wear is of utter importance to my overall performance.  If a garment is uncomfortable, rubs me wrong or hurts in any way, I'm not able to hit "my zone" and I end up calling it quits long before I should.

I was intrigued to learn of a brand new collection of performance gear from Ellie.  They were generous enough to send me two pieces from this collection so that I could hit the trails in both comfort and style, thus truly unleashing my fit fashionista side.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Peek-a-Boo Tank and My New Obsession Legging from Ellie, which retail for $34.95 and $59.95, respectively.

The new Ellie Little Black Collection has been specially designed specifically for the female athlete to provide the ultimate in performance, comfort and style.  These fitness fashions from Ellie have to be some of the most innovative I've ever seen.

The name of the My New Obsession Legging says it all. These super versatile seamless leggings are the perfect combo of fashion and function. They'll get you through your toughest workout and paired with boots they'll also be your go-to grab for a night out.  Soon, you'll be obsessed with these stylish leggings too.

The Peek-a-Boo Tank is a perfect layering piece.  This light and airy mesh tank delivers a bold statement with a delicate balance.  Great for an intense spinning class or a warm run outside, this loose and light piece can be styled over your favorite sports bra or cami.

I have to admit that I immediately fell in love with the overall style and design of the Little Black Collection line of performance gear from Ellie.  I felt like I was ready to train for the Olympics as soon as I donned these clothes and actually looked forward to taking them for a run.  The My New Obsession Leggings couldn't have fit any better or been any more comfortable to wear.  It literally felt like I was running around the neighborhood with nothing on!  (Not that I necessarily know what that feels like!)

The Peek-a-Boo Tank is also amazing to wear while working out because it gives you the chance to wear just your sports bra while still providing plenty of coverage.  During those scorching Texas summers, I've longed to go running in just my sports bra, but was always too modest to do so.  Now, with the Peek-a-Boo Tank, I can finally have the best of both worlds.

Of course, the super slimming charcoal gray/black color is fabulous too!  If you'd like to take your workout to the next level of performance, then I highly recommend giving any of the Little Black Collection pieces from Ellie a try!
