Just in time for Easter, bunnies and chicks take over in The Springtime Collection Featuring Max's Chocolate Chicken, a new 3-disc collection from Scholastic Storybook Treasures - perfect for holiday gift giving.

Thirteen award-winning stories are featured on three discs, headlined by Rosemary Wells' delightful Easter-themed tale "Max's Chocolate Chicken".  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed The Springtime Collection 3-DVD Set from Scholastic which retails for $24.95.

Kids are sure to grin from ear to ear as the fun-loving bunnies Max and Ruby - who can currently be seen on Nick Jr. - hunt for Easter eggs with hilarious results, or as a crazy-eyed chicken and all his panicked friends try to run away from a falling sky in Ed Emberley's and Rebecca Emberley's delightful "Chicken Little".

Families can also learn a fun baking recipe for splendid cake with "The Red Hen".  Featuring Scholastic's innovative Read-Along captioning, celebrity narration including Lily Tomlin, Randy Travis, Michael McKean and more, and an Easter basket-full of bonuses including interviews with Rosemary Wells and Ed Emberley and Rebecca Emberley, The Springtime Collection blossoms with fun!

The three DVDs included are:
