I love sitting outside when the weather is nice and enjoying the world around me. There's just something peaceful about listening to the chirping of the birds and smelling the fragrant flowers in my backyard. As a matter of fact, our backyard was one of the first areas of our home we tried to spruce up when we first moved in five years ago.
Fast forward a few years and a toddler and I've noticed that our backyard area is once again in need of some additional "sprucing". You see, Riley's outdoor toys have taken over and no matter what I do to pick them up and gather them nicely, they just make our patio area appear cluttered. What I desperately needed was a way to store Riley's toys out of the way, elegantly.
That's when Hayneedle came to my rescue! They have such a wide variety of patio furniture and other outdoor products that I knew I would have no trouble finding exactly the right solution for my cluttered backyard. Keep reading to find out what solved my problem!
The Suncast Resin Wicker 99 Gallon Deck Box from Hayneedle looked absolutely perfect and seamlessly blended in with my current patio furniture. This outdoor storage bench was constructed of molded plastic with a pattern which resembled wicker. The plastic used was super tough and durable and I loved the mocha color of this deck box as well as the huge amount of storage space it offered.
Anytime that assembly of any kind is involved, I kind of groan a little inside because I never know how involved or how time-consuming a process it will be. But when I removed the Suncast Resin Wicker Deck Box from its packaging, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were only a few pieces included and absolutely NO TOOLS WERE REQUIRED!
All that was needed was to carefully read the directions and make sure that you snapped the pieces together as instructed. I literally had this entire deck box assembled in about 15 minutes from start to finish! Now that's my idea of home improvement!
Once the deck box was completely assembled and ready to be taken outside, I discovered how truly lightweight it was. The Suncast Resin Wicker Deck Box has a capacity of 99 gallons, which is astoundingly large, but only weighed about 30 pounds. I immediately tossed Riley's outdoor toys inside and was again amazed at how much storage space is provided by this deck box.
As you can see from the pictures below, I still have plenty of room to store much more than Riley's toys. This deck box would be great for storing any of the following:
- Outdoor gear such as boots, gardening shoes and hats
- Garden tools
- Pool supplies
- Snow-day necessities such as scrapers and salt
- Patio furniture cushions and pillows
Should you decide to go away for the weekend or on vacation and you have items stored inside the Suncast Resin Wicker Deck Box that you'd like to protect...never fear! This deck box comes complete with a locking mechanism which will fit a padlock, for extra security.
The pictures below speak volumes, in my opinion! Once there was a clutter of various outdoor children's toys and now there is a beautifully designed deck box which offers guests an extra place to sit and returns my patio back to an ordered paradise. Thanks to Hayneedle and their wide variety of outdoor storage benches, I can once again fully enjoy my backyard!
