Riley has plenty of great toys to keep her entertained while playing here at the house, but we're always on the hunt for imaginative toys for her to play with while bathing and while traveling.  For some reason, we've had a hard time finding quality toys in either of these two areas.

innovativeKids is celebrating their 11th year of bringing the best of fun and learning to children around the world and they had some unique solutions in mind for Riley's bath and travel time.  We recently had the chance to review their Soft Shapes Play to Learn Games: Memory Match Catch and Princesses - green start Play, Draw, Create toys.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the following two products from innovativeKids:

Soft Shapes Play to Learn Games: Memory Match Catch, which retails for $14.99

Princesses - green start Play, Draw, Create, which retails for $16.99

With innovativeKids Soft Shapes Play to Learn Games: Memory Match Catch, it's time to go fish with a twist.  This game of memory match includes a fishing net and 20 colorful, floatable fish.  Use the net to catch and match pairs of fishies that have the same color and pattern.  Then slap them on the tub walls.  A mesh storage bag keeps everything tidy and dry.

Riley absolutely adored this game, for at two years old, she thinks making matches is great fun!  First, we would get out all of the fishies and float them face down in the water.  Next, it was time to go fishing!  Riley would get so excited trying to scoop up the fish and she was positively beaming whenever she'd finally catch a match.  She'd yell loudly, "MATCH!" and then slap both of them up on the bathroom wall.  They stuck to the wall as if by magic and she was off to fish again.

There are so many ways to play this game and you could easily scale it down for younger children or make it harder for older children.  For instance, with young children, you could leave the fish face up making the game a little easier, so that they could work on their fine motor skills and color/pattern recognition.  For older children, you could call out a specific pattern they needed to find and even make them close their eyes while they fished.  The possibilities are endless, which is why I know this will be a favorite bath tub toy in my home for years to come.

The green start Play, Draw, Create toy was just as much fun and perfect for kids on the go.  This environmentally friendly toy contains everything needed for everlasting fun, learning and creativity.  The packaging itself is green for the case is composed of heavy-duty cardboard while the handles are pieces of twine.  Inside this case is a write & wipe activity book, magnetic dry-erase board, over 50 magnetic play pieces and 5 dry-erase markers and eraser.

The activity book contains all sorts of neat lessons and ideas such as tracing letters and numbers, color-along pictures, instructions on how to draw a real princess and castle and much more!  Of course, with the four colored dry-erase markers and more than 50 magnetic play pieces, kids will have a ball creating their own pictures and stories too.

Riley is still a little young to be able to do all of the activities included in the Princesses - green start Play, Draw, Create set, but she had a lot of fun trying!  The magnetic pieces and dry-erase markers and board provided hours of imaginative play for her and made traveling to a restaurant and doctor's office MUCH more enjoyable for everyone.  I also love introducing the concept of green toys to Riley now, so that it will be easier for her to incorporate environmentally friendly practices into her everyday life as she grows.

If you've always had trouble finding quality toys for your little one's bath time or for when you travel, then I highly recommend the two selections I reviewed from innovativeKids.  Each of these toys makes learning so much fun that children won't even realize they're doing it!  These toys are both extremely durable and well-designed and will hold your children's interest for years to come.
