Even though Riley is almost three years old, I must confess that I still use baby shampoo, conditioner and lotion with her for two reasons.  One, I don't see the need in transitioning her into the more harsher soaps, for baby products seem to be much more gentle and much more natural.

Riley and I had the chance to review all six of the Mild by Nature baby products from iHerb.com.  Here's my thoughts and experiences of each one:

• The tear-free, gentle Shampoo & Body Wash is perfect for your baby's delicate hair and skin.  It contains the beneficial oils of:  Evening Primrose, Borage Seed, Flax Seed plus Marigold Flower (Calendula) Extract, Oat Kernel Extract and Colloidal Oatmeal, which have been used to soothe and nourish sensitive skin for ages.  It has been formulated to thoroughly cleanse your baby from head-to-toe without using harsh, drying surfactants, making it mild enough even for newborns.  I loved the fresh floral scent of the Shampoo & Body Wash and found it cleaned Riley's skin thoroughly while still keeping her skin moisture-rich.  I also happened to get some of this in her eyes a few times while washing her hair and it didn't seem to bother her.  Her hair was very lustrous and shiny after using this product.
• The gentle Hair Conditioner is perfect for your baby's delicate scalp.  It contains the beneficial oils of:  Evening Primrose, Borage Seed, Flax Seed plus Marigold Flower (Calendula) and Colloidal Oatmeal, which have been used to soothe and nourish sensitive skin for ages.  It has been formulated to make your baby's hair soft, shiny and more manageable.  Say goodbye to tangled knots, bed head and fly-away!  This conditioner really did work well on Riley's baby fine hair.  Typically, we have to struggle to get a comb through her tangled hair once she's had a bath, but the Madre Labs Mild by Nature Hair Conditioner made her fine hair feel smooth as silk.

• Pamper your baby's bottom and improve his or her mood with the rich, emollient, fragrance-free Bitty Bottom Cream.  It is specially formulated to help seal out wetness, reduce redness and gently soothe irritated and chafed skin.  It contains the beneficial oils of:  Evening Primrose, Borage Seed, Flax Seed, Sweet Almond plus Marigold Flower (Calendula) Extract, Oat Kernel Extract and Zinc Oxide, which have been used to soothe, nourish and heal sensitive skin.  Protect and calm your baby's tiny tush, one diaper change at a time!  Because Riley no longer wears diapers and doesn't suffer from diaper rash anymore, I can't say that we used this product personally, but I did squeeze some out of the tube and can vouch for how thick and creamy it is.  I've always found diaper rash creams of this consistency worked the best in sealing the delicate skin in the diaper region and usually promoted healing.
