Review - Personalized Chore Chart and Piggy Bank from Frecklebox

FreckleboxEarning an allowance and doing chores around the house are rites of passage that most children go through and both are exceptionally important, in my opinion.  First, children learn valuable skills while helping with the laundry, doing the dishes, cleaning their room and vacuuming, and it's good for them to know that they have a role in helping out their family so that everything in the household runs smoothly.

Second, children should begin practicing how to be responsible with the money they earn at an early age.  Learning to successfully manage their finances now will pay huge dividends in the future.  Frecklebox has found a fun, unique and personalized way to help with both of these tasks through their chore charts and piggy banks.  I had the chance to review both of these items.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Personalized Chore Chart and Personalized Piggy Bank from Frecklebox, which retail for $19.95 and $16.95, respectively.

Frecklebox Personalized Chore Chart and Piggy Bank

I've long been a fan of Frecklebox, for all of the personalized gifts I've ever received from them have always been of the highest quality.  I'm happy to say that their unblemished track record with me is still going, for I absolutely loved how well both the personalized chore chart and piggy bank looked when they arrived.

The personalized chore chart comes complete with two strips of Velcro for easy mounting on a wall, one magnetic strip for use on a refrigerator or other metal surface, and a dry erase pen.  It measures 11.5" wide x 11" high and is made from durable plastic with a dry erase finish.  This chore chart is roughly the size of a standard piece of scrapbook paper, so it can fit practically anywhere.

There are spaces for 8 different chores as well as all seven days of the week, so that it can be marked off when the chores are completed.  This is wonderful for one child, but I could see how this would be an essential item for families with multiple children.  Now there won't be anymore arguing about whose night it is to do the dishes.  With the Frecklebox chore charts displayed, everyone will know exactly what is expected of them and when.

But of course, no good deed should go unrewarded and Frecklebox's personalized piggy bank has you covered there too.  Line these up near the chore charts and award your children's allowance on "pay day".  Now you can begin teaching your children sound financial principles on how best to manage their earnings.  Since no one likes to receive an empty piggy bank, Frecklebox even includes a bright, shiny penny with their piggy bank to get your child started!

If you are looking for a neat, organized and fun way to bring regular chores and allowances to your household, then I highly recommend the Frecklebox personalized chore charts and piggy banks.  These two items coupled together will make pitching in and helping out around the house a lot less work and a lot more exciting!
