Colossal Christmas Countdown: 21 Days Until Christmas!

Recently, I began decorating the main hallway on the second story of our home.  This hallway connects all of the bedrooms in the house and can even be seen as you walk in the front door.  I wanted this space to be a representation of our family and everything important in our lives.  My husband and I met while in college, so our alma mater is very special to the both of us.  We are in the process of getting our diplomas framed to hang in this hallway, but we wanted a wall clock for this space too. The personalized design above, entitled "Victorian Sweep", caught my eye as an absolutely beautiful piece of artwork.  I could easily see how a clock of this type could become an instant family heirloom.  I combed my photo albums, both online and off, to try and find a picture which would symbolize our family for years to come.

At first, I thought about having a family picture on this clock, but after a while, I decided against it.  I thought that over time, we might grow tired of looking at these same faces.  Besides, rarely can I find a picture where everyone in it loves the way they look!  :)

I finally decided to use a photo taken at our wedding.  It's one of my favorite pictures because there is so much symbolism and meaning in every part of it.  For instance, the red roses in the background of this picture are my wedding bouquet.  There are a set of gold rings on the left side, which are our college rings (we even graduated in the same year!).

The paper sitting underneath the two sets of rings is our wedding invitation and the rings on the right-hand side are of course, our wedding rings.  This picture definitely represents the beginning of the Cleaver family and one that I know we'll always cherish!

What came next was extremely simple.  I emailed this picture to the designers at For All Time Clocks and told them that I liked the "Victorian Sweep" sample design.  They created a proof of my clock and emailed it to me for my approval.  I had a few small changes that I wanted made and within a day or two, my custom clock was designed EXACTLY like I had envisioned!  The wall clock took about two weeks to make and then it was shipped to me.

My mouth literally dropped open when I saw what they had designed!  I couldn't believe how wonderful this clock looked!  Even though I already knew what it would look like, I was amazed at the actual results.  This wall clock was absolutely PERFECT and it would be impossible for this company to have done a better job!
