Babyproofing, or in my case toddlerproofing, your home is one of the many things that a parent needs to do in order to ensure the safety of their children.  Having a baby-safe house can be a tad inconvenient at times when you have to climb over childproof gates or pry the electrical covers out of a socket every time you need to use it.  But of course, these steps are essential for our children's safety and not that big of a deal.

I had the opportunity to review the Metropolitan ScentSationals Warmer along with the new Mini Medallion Ivory Crackle ScentSationals Plug-In.  The Metropolitan is a full-size warmer and uses a 25-Watt lightbulb that is powered by an electrical source.  The Mini Medallion Warmer also plugs into an electrical source, but resembles more of a nightlight and uses only a 15-Watt lightbulb.

I have to say that I had a few criticisms of the Metropolitan ScentSationals Warmer from the beginning.  I really liked the ceramic design of this full-size warmer and how the plate was completely separate from the warmer itself, making it easy to clean once the wax cube had been used up.

Unfortunately, I went through three different 25-Watt lightbulbs before finally finding one that didn't immediately burn out with this warmer, as shown in the lower left picture.  I don't know if I just had bad luck with the lightbulbs I used or if there's something wrong with the warmer, but it was very strange how they kept burning out.

I also didn't like how the dark and smoky colored Metropolitan Warmer comes with a bright white electrical cord.  My home's decor is very dark and uses many chocolatey browns and blacks, so in my home, the white electrical cord of this warmer sticks out like a sore thumb.

I had a completely different opinion though of the Mini Medallion Ivory Crackle ScentSationals Plug-In and Fragrance Cubes.  This mini warmer plugs directly into any electrical socket for an instant decorative flair.  A quick flip of the switch will begin warming the top bowl-area so that the fragrance cubes will release their scent.

Once you're finished using the mini warmer, simply wait for it to cool and then remove the entire lightbulb and electrical plug from the ceramic housing.  Now you can easily clean the plug-in so that it's ready to use again next time.

What's great about the mini warmer is that it's so small and can fit in absolutely any room or space.  Have a stinky laundry room?  Just put the ScentSationals Plug-In to work.  These are perfect for your bathrooms, mud rooms or pets' areas too.  Because there's no open flame, and only a 25-Watt lightbulb is used, you can rest assured that these products are perfectly safe.

The wax itself is only heated to a temperature slightly hotter than the human body's temperature, so even if the melted wax were to get directly on anyone's skin, there would be no possible way of being burned by it.

As you can see from the picture above, I was sent four yummy varieties of holiday fragrance cubes to try with my new warmers.  My favorite scent was a toss-up between the peppermint vanilla and snowberry varieties.  Simply open up the package, break off one pre-measured cube and add it to the top tray of your ScentSationals warmer.

Within minutes, the warmer had heated up and began melting the wax fragrance cube.  The delicious smell of peppermint vanilla permeated quickly throughout our home and made me feel instantly relaxed and calmer (and hungrier).  :drool:  The wax itself doesn't evaporate, so it can be used over and over again.  You know it's time to use more fragrance cubes when you can no longer smell the ones you're melting.

To change the cube, simply heat the wax up completely and then pour it out directly into the garbage.  Don't worry...this is safe to do since the wax is only at human body temperature.  Wipe out the lid of the ScentSationals warmer and put new fragrance cubes in to melt.  How easy!
