Colossal Christmas Countdown:

11 Days Until Christmas!

Huge meals with family and friends are some of my favorite parts of the holidays.  But let's face it, all of that cooking, baking and eating does a number on my dishwasher!  I hate washing dishes by hand, but I have no choice after a big Christmas dinner.  I have so many pots and pans to wash, plus a ton of plates, glasses, bowls and silverware to wash too.  I've been tempted in the past to have everyone eat off of paper plates and use plastic utensils and cups, but these items just look way too tacky to use for a festive holiday meal.

Recently though, I discovered a company, called Smarty Had a Party, which will save me from being chained to the sink washing dishes all night.  They carry a high-quality and extremely sturdy line of disposable dinnerware, which look just like real dishes.  Now I can skip washing all of those dirty plates and flatware!  I believe the holidays have just gotten a little brighter for me!

I reviewed the following from Smarty Had a Party:

Reflections Spoons (Pkg. of 40) ~ $4.07

Reflections Full-Size Long Dinner Forks (Pkg. of 40) ~ $3.95

Reflections Grand Heavy Knives (Pkg. of 40) ~ $3.95

10.25" Masterpiece White and Silver Plates (Pkg. of 12) ~ $11.95

6" Masterpiece White and Silver Plates (Pkg. of 15) ~ $6.99

Smarty Had a Party Disposable Dinnerware

Smarty Had a Party is your one-stop shop for all things party related!  They carry an endless array of disposable dinner plates, flatware and napkins, as well as chair covers, party fountains and centerpieces too.  When I received the masterpiece plates for myself, I had to actually take them out of the package and feel them, since it looked as if there were no way that these could truly be disposable.

These plates are made out of such a heavyweight plastic, that it's actually possible to wash them and reuse them again.  This way, you can still have an elegant place setting for special events, but don't have to worry about someone dropping and breaking an irreplaceable piece of china.

The same can be said for the Reflections flatware I reviewed.  These forks, knives and spoons definitely looked as though they were made from stainless steel, though they are also merely constructed from heavy-duty plastic.  Just take a look at the picture above to see the pieces I'm talking about.  When I first saw this picture, I would never have guessed that this dinnerware is made from disposable plastic!

If you want to save yourself and your dishwasher an unnecessary headache this holiday season or if you want to jazz up an office party without breaking the bank or a set of dishes, then check out Smarty Had a Party's disposable dinnerware.  All their dinnerware is also recyclable so you don't have to feel guilty about throwing these beautiful dishes in the trash...simply recycle them!

I am so excited to be able to cut a few corners this Christmas and serve my family's feast on disposable dinnerware from Smarty Had a Party, instead of my usual dishes.  Now, I will be able to enjoy more time with my family, instead of scrubbing a never-ending pile of dirty dishes!  Merry Christmas to ME!
