• High - With Richness on high, the SoundStories are the most complex.  For example, in the Ocean setting, the sound of a fog horn or barking sea lion will occasionally be heard.  In the Rain setting, a thunderclap will occasionally be heard.
• Medium - In the medium setting, only more moderate sounds will be incorporated into the SoundStory.  Additional sounds such as bird calls, will be played, but they will occur less often.
• Low - In the low setting, the SoundStory will play at its most moderate level.  For example, in the Ocean setting, only waves will be in the SoundStory.

I have absolutely fallen in love with the Sound+Sleep Adaptive Sound Sleep Therapy System (ASM1002) for it has plenty of soothing night time variety which helps lull me to sleep every time.  My favorite SoundStories are the ocean, fireplace, rainfall, brook and meditation.  Personally, I like listening to these SoundStories on the medium richness level, for there is just enough interest there to help my mind focused on the sounds I'm hearing instead of on the stressful things I'm thinking about like paying bills, tomorrow's agenda, cleaning house, etc.

I'm also a huge fan of the adaptive mode for it has successfully kept me from waking up due to barking dogs, garbage trucks, lawn mowers and the like.  The Sound+Sleep machine slowly adapts to these new noises so that they don't disturb my sleep.  Once the noises have subsided, the Sound+Sleep machine goes back to its preset volume level.  Now that's one hardworking sound machine!
