Converting Riley's bedroom from a nursery into a bonafide big girl's room has been a lot of work, but I wanted to make sure that it was just perfect for her (and I also don't plan on doing this again for another 10 years)! Her "ladybug garden" is almost complete, but what's a garden without a ton of flowers and even a few trees?
I've been decorating her walls primarily with paint and stencils, but have to admit that this is very time and labor consuming. How could I transform one of her walls quickly and easily in just a few hours, instead of a few days? Use WallPops removable, repositionable wall art decals, of course! I recently had the chance to review the Treehouse Wall Art Kit from WallPops. Keep reading to learn more!
The Treehouse Wall Art Kit from WallPops contained everything I needed to create a whimsical tree scene using just two large sheets of stickers. The centerpiece of this creation is the tree itself, which measures 55" H x 44" W and is composed of nine large stickers joined together.
There are also numerous other accents included with the Treehouse Wall Art Kit, such as acorns, an owl, a squirrel, a rabbit, dragonflies and butterflies, birds, flowers, grass and even a mushroom or two. I really liked the soft, muted colors and watercolor brushstroke effect of this art kit.
In order to decorate Riley's wall using the Treehouse Wall Art Kit, I first decided to paint a white picket fence on the plain lime green wall to serve as a backdrop. Because the rest of the walls in her room are painted using stencils, I thought that the picket fence would be a good way to blend both the painted elements and the WallPops decal elements together for a coordinated look.
The WallPops stickers were extremely easy to apply. They stuck very well to the wall, but because they are completely removable and repositionable, they didn't leave behind any sticky goo or damage the walls when I had to adjust a few of the tree panels slightly. This was a blessing, for with a little patience, I was able to get everything lined up exactly like I wanted.
I thought her wall turned out beautifully and Riley was thrilled with her new treehouse. The only thing that I didn't care for with these decals is that they are slightly see-through. I don't quite get the reason for this translucency and wish that they were opaque instead.
Because of this translucence, you can't really see the two blue birds against the lime green of Riley's walls and the white picket fence is fairly visible beneath the brown tree trunk. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with the Treehouse Wall Art Kit from WallPops and am still amazed at how they are able to offer this large, detailed kit for such a low price.
If you would like to quickly and easily add some decorative elements to your home, then be sure to check out the wonderful selection of wall art decals at WallPops. They currently don't have anything over $35.99 and so you can jazz up your walls without breaking the bank!
