StarbucksWhen running between appointments and activities with our kids, having a bag of kid-friendly snacks on hand often seems like a necessity. However, when it comes to packing something for ourselves, we often begrudgingly trade nutrition and taste for convenience.

Now, we our food choices no longer have to be limited to what fast-food restaurant drive-thru windows offer, for Starbucks has created a whole line of healthy eating options for meals on the go.  They have recently introduced eight new Bistro Boxes for convenient meals when life gets hectic.  Keep reading to find out more!

Starbucks Bistro Boxes

Starbucks has been offering delectable food alongside some of the best coffee you can find anywhere since their inception.  But now, they've decided to add eight mouth-watering selections to their menu more suitable for lunch, dinner or a quick snack.  Their eight new Bistro Boxes each contain less than 500 calories as well as daily essentials of protein, vegetables, fruits and whole grains.

So which one of the Bistro Boxes did I try?  Well, I'm a sucker for chicken wraps, so I couldn't resist the Chipotle Chicken Wraps Bistro Box.  I was thrilled to see that they used a wheat tortilla and lean, white chicken.  Okay, but where's the flavor?  That's where the yummy lime-cilantro slaw, zesty pepper jack cheese and tomato-avocado salsa come in!

If that weren't great enough, what really made me smile was realizing that I was only eating 380 calories, which even included a piece of dark chocolate for dessert!  This is also a great meal to have after a workout at the gym, for the Chipotle Chicken Wraps also contain a whopping 26 grams of protein!

Finally, a healthy and delicious meal I can grab while in a hurry, from a place I love to frequent anyway...Starbucks!   :coffee:

That sounds soooo good. Thanks for sharing…I’ll be looking for these the next time I am at Starbucks. We don’t have one in town so I have to go when I’m on a shopping trip to Owasso.

New follower from The Life of Rylie and Bryce. Nice to “meet” you.
