Lay-n-GoOne of the things I hate most when getting ready is trying to dig through my bathroom drawer for all of the cosmetics, brushes and the like that I need to apply my makeup.  Everything is stored loosely inside, instead of available easily at my fingertips.  I know this wastes precious time each day when I get ready, but have I done something about it?  NO!

I just throw everything right back in my drawer and then wish that it were better organized the very next time I get ready.  Thankfully, Lay-n-Go has created an innovative solution which will help keep your cosmetics together in a neat and organized manner as well as get ready quickly and easily while on the go.  Keep reading to learn more about the Lay-n-Go COSMO!

I reviewed the Lay-n-Go COSMO, which retails for $29.95, but is currently on sale for $28.90 with FREE SHIPPING.

Lay-n-Go COSMOYou may remember my earlier review of the Lay-n-Go LITE which successfully helps us keep Riley entertained while dining out at our favorite restaurants.  The Lay-n-Go COSMO is extremely similar to this toy organizer, except that it's been jazzed up a bit to look more like a quilted makeup bag.

The Lay-n-Go COSMO is an 18" diameter cosmetic bag that converts into an easily transportable handled clutch allowing for quick and effortless clean-up of your cosmetics. Cosmetic collections used on the Lay-n-Go surface are easily spread out on a clean, contained, and dry surface.  There's even an added zip pocket on the inside for discrete storage. No more having to worry about your cosmetics rolling off the counter and onto the floor.

Once you are done, pull the drawstring and the cosmetic bag is converted back into a completely sealed soft clutch. Lay-n-Go COSMO is a smart and easy 4-in-1 solution….clean surface, quick cleanup, carryall and storage.

Lay-n-Go COSMOFeatures:

  • Shell is 100% quilted smooth poly and easy to wash/dry
  • Liner is 100% nylon and provides a water repellent/wipe able surface
  • One 7"x 5" pocket on the inside surface to stow any special brushes or use as a hide-away for pills, feminine products or jewelry
  • Durable nylon cord and cord lock provide a quick and easy opening/closing system
  • A special designed "lip" around the bag, which will keep your make-up from rolling off the counter or falling into the wet sink
  • A velcroed front storage pocket provides a place to stow the drawstring when closed and carrying or storing the bag

Lay-n-Go COSMORecently, I took the Lay-n-Go COSMO on the road with me to BlogHer '12 so that I could get ready in the least amount of time possible, as well as keep my cosmetics and brushes neat and tidy.  I really liked the convenience and portability of this product and it saved several of my eyeliners and lip glosses from rolling off of the bathroom counter onto the floor.

If I could make one suggestion though, it would be to make the Lay-n-Go COSMO a little larger in width than the current 18" diameter size.  I found that several of my brushes were getting a tad crushed because once the bag was drawn together, there simply wasn't enough space to keep the bristles straight.  I also found that storing larger cosmetics, such as my loose powder, made things much more cramped.  Perhaps I just carry too much makeup, but if the Lay-n-Go was slightly larger, this would be a 5-star product!
