As you may remember reading in a previous post, I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Maytag Dependable Laundry Mom! With that designation comes the perk of trying out the new Maytag Bravos XL High-Efficiency Top Loading Washer and Steam Dryer in my own home.
I'm happy to report that I've been using the Maytag Bravos XL pair to clean my family's neverending supply of dirty clothes for over two months now. Keep reading to learn what my impressions of this laundry room duo are so far!
The Maytag Bravos XL Stops My Family of Mess Makers in Their Tracks!
When you have a household like mine, comprised of a mess-making husband, a mess-magnet daughter and a mess-tracking pooch, stains and ground-in dirt are the order of the day. Thankfully, the Maytag Bravos XL has consistently found ways to help clean my family's clothes, while still saving us time and money in the process.
It all begins with the amazing washing machine which has a ton of features I use constantly and have now begun to rely on so much that I don't know what I'd do without them. For instance, at 4.6 cu. ft., Bravos XL HE washers are Maytag brand's largest capacity top load washers. They have the ability to clean 21 towels in a single load! Thanks to this ridiculously large washing capacity, I no longer have to do one load of laundry each day.
Typically, I would wash a load of laundry every day so that it wouldn't pile up around my ears. But with the Maytag Bravos XL HE washing machine, I only do laundry on the weekend and can get my entire family's dirty clothes clean in JUST 3 LOADS, saving me a ton of time. I still can't believe that simply changing my washer and dryer has given me so much free time by cutting my work load by over 50 percent!
Next, I love how powerful the cold wash cycle of this washing machine is. Remember me telling you about the neverending parade of stains I see? Well, I rarely have to use the warm water cycles now because the Maytag Bravos XL powers out these tough stains on the cold wash cycle. This deep clean cold cycle eliminates stains like wine, chocolate and ground-in dirt with its extra cleaning action and precise slow-motion soak.
I think if you've got a T-shirt with a blood stain all over it, maybe laundry isn't your biggest problem. Maybe you should get rid of the body before you do the wash. ~ Jerry Seinfeld
I've really managed to put this cycle through the test too and so far have successfully removed ground-in mud, grass stains, grease stains, blood and food all on the cold wash cycle. I just spray a little stain remover directly on the stain first, let it soak in and then toss this garment in the washing machine along with the other laundry and wash on the cold wash cycle. That's it and the stain comes right out!
It's also never been easier to add bleach, fabric softener and detergent to the laundry. As you can see below, the Maytag Bravos XL HE washer has clearly marked top-loading trays for everything. Just pour in the liquid you need, select the appropriate option on the washing machine and you're done.
Of course, saving money is always a major perk in an appliance, and again Maytag has come through with flying colors. By cutting the loads of laundry we do in half, we use less detergent, less fabric softener and most importantly, less electricity! As if that weren't enough, the Maytag Bravos XL also uses 76% less water and 78% less energy, making it an Energy Star qualified model. This leading line achieves this eco-friendly position with the help of a low water EcoConserve wash that consumes less water and energy.
But don't forget about the dryer! The Maytag Bravos XL dryer definitely pulls its weight around my household too. Before we owned this Maytag pair, our dryer never managed to get our clothes dry on just one cycle. It would literally take HOURS to dry just one load of laundry and because we didn't want to pay for all of that electricity, we'd end up stopping the load before it was dry and hanging our semi-dry clothes on racks to finish the process.
Every time we did laundry, our home looked like a clothes line for there were garments hung everywhere. Thankfully, the Maytag Bravos XL dryer has a huge 7.3 cu. ft. capacity and Maytag's best drying performance yet. Couple that with the Advanced Moisture Sensing technology, and you'll get evenly dried loads with virtually no over-drying or shrinkage. Now our home looks neat and tidy on laundry days and the Maytag Bravos XL dryer gets our clothes nice and dry the first time around!
At the two-month mark, I must honestly report that I couldn't be more thrilled with the quality, performance and dependability of the Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer. From making sure the stain gets out of your daughter's lucky socks before her soccer game, to leaving your son's favorite blanket clean and soft after his winter cold, Maytag washers and dryers continue to stand by your family, adding a sense of reliability to life's unpredictable moments.
