Mom Alert: Rid Yourself of Picky Eaters Forever

5/5 - (1 vote)

Think back to the first recipe you ever made...the first time you stirred together ingredients in a bowl seemingly larger than you were, or the first time Mom let you crack an egg all by yourself.  Those little joys laid the foundation for kitchen competency.  Introducing kids to cooking offers a time for creating memories while exposing them to practical life skills.

Among many lessons, cooking teaches how to follow instructions, reading comprehension, time management and pride in a job well done.  Involving kids in the kitchen also encourages healthful eating.  Your child will appreciate a wider variety of ingredients and develop confidence to transform ingredients into delicious recipes.

Have a picky eater?  Helping to plan and prepare meals gives picky eaters a sense of investment in the process so they are more likely to try new foods.

I reviewed the Better Homes and Gardens New Junior CookBook which retails for $16.99, but is currently on sale for $11.55 with FREE SHIPPING.
