Phase 4 FilmsI have always loved Spring Break!  It's the perfect time of the year to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air, bright sunshine and warm temperatures.  Unfortunately though, at times I find it hard to keep my little one entertained.  We play games, go on scavenger hunts and take many trips to the park, but being a work-at-home mom with an energetic 4-year-old on Spring Break can be difficult at times.

If you're in the same boat and are looking for fun ways to entertain your children during Spring Break, be sure to check out the latest family-friendly offerings from Phase 4 Films: Horrid Henry and The Jungle Book.

I reviewed the following two movies from Phase 4 Films, both found exclusively at Walmart:

The Jungle Book: Rumble in the Jungle, which retails for $14.86

Horrid Henry, which retails for $14.86

Phase 4 Spring Break Entertainment

My daughter loves eating popcorn and watching movies, so it was definitely an easy task to ask her to sit down this week and watch a movie from Phase 4 Films!  First up was The Jungle Book: Rumble in the Jungle.  This movie includes Mowgli and Baloo and focuses on their time spent in the jungle.  While they're busy drumming along and creating a ruckus, Shere Khan plots to end the noise once and for all.

The Jungle Book lasts for only 62 minutes, which was perfect for the short attention span of my 4-year-old.  She was hooked from beginning to end and was frequently caught grinning from ear to ear and cheering along for both Mowgli and Baloo.  Riley had never seen the original Jungle Book before watching this movie from Phase 4 Films, and immediately requested to watch the original after finishing this DVD.

She was also thrilled at the extra special surprise included with this Limited Edition DVD: toys!  That's right, your child can continue the action long after The Jungle Book DVD has ended with the Mowgli and Baloo figurines!  My daughter had hers clutched in her lap during the entire movie and continued to incorporate the two in her imaginative games and stories even after the film ended.

Finally, we were introduced to the iconic character, Horrid Henry, in the Phase 4 Films feature, Horrid Henry: The Movie.  This modern-day Dennis the Menace sets off a chain reaction of unexpected events simply by not handing in his homework...yet again.  Since this 93-minute long movie is rated PG due to several bouts of rude humor, I decided to watch this one with my husband instead of Riley.  At her age of monkey-see, monkey-do, I was afraid that she would try to mimic too many of the side-splitting antics this movie had to offer and wouldn't quite understand that it's "just a movie" and not meant to be duplicated in real life.

Horrid Henry is a fun-filled and action packed movie that your children will definitely find amusing.  I was reminded time and time again of a young Ferris Bueller, especially when Henry outwitted the corrupt School Inspectors and won the talent contest.  The part of the movie that Riley was allowed to enjoy though was the included green slime pack.  Now your little one can have a blast both during and after the movie with slime resembling the kind used in Horrid Henry!

If you're looking for a fun-filled way to while away a few hours this Spring Break, be sure to snuggle up with your family and enjoy both The Jungle Book: Rumble in the Jungle and Horrid Henry from Phase 4 Films!
