Now, there's a company called My Busy Kit which specializes in keeping your child occupied while traveling. These kits contain a ton of activities your child can do while waiting at the doctor's office, grocery shopping, riding in the car and dining at restaurants. Keep reading to find out more!
I really like the My Busy Kit for Girls for several reasons. First, this is such a great way to entertain your children while on the go without using a portable video game or other electronic gadget. I guess I'm old-fashioned, but I always cringe a little when we're out somewhere and I see a child completely engaged by a video game, unaware of anything else that is happening around them.
I like that the My Busy Kit contains nothing but small toys that inspire imagination and creativity, such as a drawing pad, finger puppets, markers and a felt crown, a lace up toy, etc.

Since it comes in a convenient little zippered pouch, this is great to throw in your diaper bag for when you leave the house. When Riley gets a little older, this will be perfect for her to carry as her own personal purse! I really like the wide variety of items that the My Busy Kit contains which appeals to several different age groups. Because it is just a collection of small toys in a zippered bag, you can always add to this kit by including your child's favorite small toys or the latest "find" from the dollar store.
We used this with Riley while going out to eat and she was totally fascinated by the different toys included in the My Busy Kit. She loved brushing the toy horse's hair and played with the small flashlight endlessly. For once, her father and I were able to eat a meal in peace and could actually chew our food completely, instead of cramming it in because Riley was getting bored and fussy. Thank you My Busy Kit! :)
