The summer months are almost upon us and although I love being outdoors, enjoying the fresh air and ample sunlight during that time, I dread the condition my skin will soon be in. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Rosacea and ever since, I've discovered that the heat really exacerbates the nasty symptoms of Rosacea for me.
For instance, I will get the typical red, flushed looking skin on my cheeks along with small, red, round bumps which look like acne, but are actually Rosacea at its finest. I've always resorted to using plenty of foundation to cover this redness, but in the summertime when the temperature is frequently over 100 degrees, I've found that I end up looking more like one hot mess.
Thankfully, this summer I can try and treat the red, inflamed skin directly with Control Corrective Skincare Systems' Redness Relief Serum. Keep reading to learn more about it!
The Redness Relief Serum from Control Corrective Skincare Systems is designed to provide relief to sensitive, dry and itchy skin by locking in its moisture. It's a comforting concentrate that rapidly delivers hydrating, sedating relief to skin that's red from Rosacea or other sources of inflammation. Botanical extracts plus skin-balancing vitamins reduce trans-epidermal water loss, which in turn helps strengthen and balance the skin, reduces redness and inhibits future flare-ups.
This is ideal to apply underneath your sunscreen and/or moisturizer to act as a protective barrier layer that calms and prevents inflamed redness. Although it is not quite hot enough here in Houston to make my Rosacea flare up yet, I have already received a few reddened Rosacea-like bumps on my cheeks. I was thrilled to find that the Control Corrective Skincare Systems' Redness Relief Serum minimized the red color of my skin. It's amazing how the bumps weren't very noticeable, once that burning red color was gone.
I have no doubt that with regular use this summer, I might finally be able to forgo the foundation I used to cake on. Now my skin will have the chance to breath and look natural without appearing red and blotchy. If you frequently suffer from reddened skin from either Rosacea or other sources of inflammation and notice that the summer's heat causes your symptoms to really flare up, then I highly recommend giving the Redness Relief Serum a try!
