Cool Gel 'n CapI'm sure anyone with a small child has been amazed at how often they seem to hit their heads...on everything!  When Riley was first learning to walk (and even still to this day), she bonked her head on tables, walls, furniture, etc., primarily because she wouldn't look where she was going.

At times like these, an ice pack would have worked wonders to sooth her aching little noggin, but forget about actually holding an ice pack to her head!  This just seemed to make her scream and cry even harder.  So what's a parent to do?  Bring Toby to the rescue!  Toby is the lovable pup design of the Cool Gel 'n Cap which will automatically hold an ice pack or hot pack to your child's boo-boo effortlessly.  Keep reading to learn more about it!

I reviewed the Cool Gel 'n Cap (Toby) which retails for $19.99.

Cool Gel 'n Cap

The Cool Gel 'n Cap is a wonderfully unique way to relieve your child's head pain in an all-natural, hands-free way.  This reduces both you and your child's stress, allowing you to comfort them easier and attend to their boo-boos at the same time.  The Cool Gel 'n Cap is in the shape of a playful animal character, either Toby the puppy or Tulip the bunny, and is constructed from durable polyester, cotton and spandex.  This blend of fabrics and the adjustable chin strap helps to ensure a snug fit for any child ages 12 months and up.

Each Cool Gel 'n Cap comes complete with two, non-toxic gel packs that can be heated OR cooled, as well as one non-toxic instant ice pack for emergency situations.  The adorable plush hat has a large opening inside which allows you to easily place as many ice packs or heated packs in absolutely any position within the hat that you wish.

Now if your child accidentally hits their jaw, side of the head, top or back of the head, you can quickly and easily place an ice pack in exactly the right spot to help with healing.  The ice packs are great for the occasional headache too.  The same is true if your child happens to suffer from an earache every now and then.  Simply heat the reusable gel pack in the microwave and place inside the Cool Gel 'n Cap for soothing relief of their earache pain.

The Cool Gel 'n Cap is designed to be fun for small children and something they actually WANT to wear, whether they're injured or not.  I can definitely vouch for that!  Riley couldn't wait to put on her new "puppy dog hat" and kept it on for hours before finally taking it off.  I'm so thankful to know that should she require the treatment of an ice pack or heat pack to her head, I will now be able to administer it quickly and easily without having to struggle with her to comply.

The Cool Gel 'n Cap even comes with a great coloring/activity book to help take their minds off their troubles while wearing this first aid hat.  It seems that Cool Gel 'n Cap truly thought of everything and I highly recommend this product as a must-have for any parent's medical arsenal!
