Crocs Kaela Flats in Gold/Espresso ~ My Feet No Longer Have the Summertime Blues

Rate this post

I am probably one of the only people on this planet that doesn't own a pair of the classic Crocs that have become so popular these days.  I swear that every time I'm out in public, I run into at least 3 or 4 people wearing these very popular shoes.  So why have I not jumped on the Crocs train?

Two reasons:  I have very narrow feet and I don't like the way the classic Crocs look.  So, color me surprised when I actually went to the Crocs website and saw that they make a TON of cute shoes in all different styles and colors!  I couldn't wait to try out some of the stylish shoes I saw there and had a really hard time deciding which pair to try.  After much debate, I decided that I had to see the Kaela flats in Gold/Espresso for myself!

I reviewed the Kaela flats in Gold/Espresso from Crocs, which retail for $39.99.

I was thrilled when the Kaela flats from Crocs arrived on my doorstep, for these flats were just so darn cute!  I loved the subdued gold color of the shoe itself, which was not too flashy, yet definitely a unique color and would get noticed.  The espresso accents outlining the top of the shoe as well as running horizontally along the toe made a really nice contrast against the gold and added even more style.

Of course, when I slipped these shoes on, I immediately realized why over 100 million pairs of Crocs have been sold so far.  These shoes felt SO good on my feet!  As you can see from the upper right picture, the sole of the shoe is comprised of many tiny little bumps which constantly massage your feet.  The sole of this shoe is also fairly thick which gives you a springy, cushy feel while wearing them.

Probably my favorite feature of the Kaela flats is the comfortable, padded insert inside the shoe at the heel.  You can see this padded area more clearly if you look at the upper left picture inside the shoe towards the heel.  Because I have very narrow feet, I constantly have a problem with flats rubbing against my heel and causing blisters.  This padded insert in the Kaela flat eliminated that uncomfortable rub and kept my heels blister free!

The only downside I found with the Kaela Crocs is that for some reason, Crocs doesn't make 1/2 sizes in their footwear.  This is too bad since I always wear a 7.5 size shoe.  I had to order an 8 instead and these shoes are just a tad too big because of it.  If Crocs would begin making 1/2 sizes, I think that I might stock my closet with many more of the ultra-cute shoes I've found on their website.  If you're in the market for shoes designed with comfort and style in mind, then join the other millions of satisfied customers and choose Crocs too!

Disclosure:  I received the Kaela flats in Gold/Espresso from Crocs in order to facilitate my review. No other compensation was received. This product review is based on my own personal experiences with this item and is completely honest and objective.

  • I can reallyl tell you love your new pair of shoes. I also bought a pair of crocs just like yours and let me tell you, my feet have never been so comfortable in my life. It is so great to enjoy putting on a piar of shoes rather than regretting wearing heels to work only an hour after getting into the office.

  • I totally agree with your review! I've never worn nor bought the original crocs designs because I think they are pretty ugly. :p I also agree about the sizing .... I bought mine online and I ordered a 7 .. it was too tight, I had to get it exchanged. 8 was a little loose but OK I guess. I also bought a pair of Alice Suede. I think the new ladies designs are awesome!:)

    • Glad to hear I wasn't the only one who thought the original Crocs were hideous! :) Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day! :)
