I could go on forever about all of the things I love about my wonderful dog, Noel.  She's been a true friend and a huge part of my life for the last 10 years.  But, there is one thing that tops the very short list of things I do NOT like about her and that is the constant shedding of her hair everywhere!

My husband jokes that Noel's hair has the mysterious power to wind up anywhere and everywhere in our home, including in our food and even in our underwear!  :)  Now, I doubt Eureka could fix that problem, but they have set out to make eliminating pet hair, even embedded hair, from your carpets, upholstery, stairs, etc.  Keep reading to find out what I thought about the Eureka Pet Pal Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner.

I am always excited to find new products which specifically deal with pet hair.  I don't know why it is so difficult to pick up with an ordinary vacuum, but it has always posed a problem for every vacuum cleaner I've ever owned.  Since my current vacuum is a Eureka Boss and we've been very satisfied with its cleaning capabilities for years now, I was thrilled to have the chance to review a Eureka vacuum specially designed with pet hair in mind.

The Eureka Pet Pal Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner has several unique features guaranteed to clean your carpets and upholstery of all that pesky pet hair that just seems to find its way into everything!

First, the Pet Pal vacuum has a device on it called the Hair Raiser for Pets, which is a self-cleaning brush that removes pet hair from upholstery and fabric.  This is a wonderful tool to use on furniture that your pet may frequently come into contact with.  In my case, Noel loves the left arm and seat of our couch.  That's her designated spot in the living room and the one area with the most pet hair on it (besides our carpeting).

Simply remove the brush and use either the smooth purple side to immediately pick up the pet hair, or the yellow rubber border on the brush to help pick up the tough, embedded pet hair.  Once you've successfully picked up the pet hair, just put the brush back into its holster and flip the yellow "clean" button.  All of that pet hair is sucked off the brush so that it is now ready to be used again. After you've used the Hair Raiser device, you may want to follow up behind it with the Pet Power Paw.

This handy attachment is located on the front of the vacuum and attaches to the end of the telescoping hose.  It effortlessly removes pet hair, dust and dirt from upholstery and stair risers.  I loved this attachment for it was very easy to clean my stairs with and was perfect for finishing up the removal of pet hair from my couch which I started with the Hair Raiser for Pets.  It's like having a mini-Eureka Pet Pal in the palm of your hand!
