In order to experience a Canvas Press masterpiece, I knew the first step would be to pick the perfect photograph to have transformed.  This was such a hard decision, but in the end, I picked a family picture from Riley's first birthday party.  Her first birthday was such a monumental occasion in our lives and we had such fun on that day.

Riley looks as if she's sinking into a sugar coma here and Michael and I both have icing on our faces.  I was looking for the central picture for a wall that I want to have dedicated to nothing but family photos, and I thought that this particular photo transformed into a 16" x 20" canvas would be perfect.

Canvas Press asks that any photo you choose be at least 1600 x 1200 pixels so that your canvas is of the highest picture quality.  They can even transform original, pre-digital photos into a canvas too!  Ordering my canvas couldn't have been simpler and took a mere five minutes to complete from start to finish.  First, you simply click on which type of product you'd like to order.  They offer a myriad of unique options, such as photos to canvas, wall collages and photo prints.

Then, choose the canvas style, size, border style and whether or not you'd like any additional enhancements, and then simply upload your photo.  That's it!  Finally, you just have to wait for your masterpiece to be delivered.  I was pleasantly surprised that my canvas only took about a week to arrive!

As you can see from the upper left picture, Canvas Press packed our canvas very well.  The entire canvas was wrapped in clear cellophane sheeting and then it was packed into a special, heavy duty cardboard frame.  Our canvas arrived in perfect condition and without any damage or flaws whatsoever.  The upper right picture shows our new masterpiece!

The colors are just as vibrant and the picture quality is just as good as the original photo.  Now that it has been blown up to the 16" x 20" size, we see details that we actually missed before.  For example, when Michael first saw it, he was surprised to find that he also had icing on his face.  We never noticed that in the original photograph!

I was very impressed at the level of quality associated with my special canvas.  I flipped it over and inspected it carefully.  I couldn't find one thing wrong with it and I noticed a lot of things right with it, such as the four staples used on all corners to make sure that the canvas was secure.  The canvas was pulled taut around the frame and the staples were placed evenly all the way around too.  I feel very confident that this canvas will last our family a really long time!  I also learned that the inks they use are guaranteed not to fade for over 100 years and so this is a portrait that even Riley will be able to display in her home someday!
