OVERVIEW: I was always taught that there are four things human beings need to survive:  Food, Water, Air and Love.  Now, I'm not sure about the last one...I kind of think it was included on the list since I learned these four things in kindergarten!    But we all know how basic and essential good, clean air is to our health.  Especially now that summer is here and in full swing, we also have the heat, smog, ozone, allergens, bacteria, etc. on the rise too!  All of these aforementioned culprits help to ruin the quality of the air we breathe and make us feel worse than we should.  Living in Houston, the 4th largest city in the U.S., I am all too familiar with poor air quality due to excess pollutants and ozone.  Houston air is also a killer for those suffering from seasonal allergies too!  My husband and I have often contemplated purchasing an air purifier for our bedroom, and it seems our wishes were granted when I received an opportunity from Rabbit Air to review the BioGS SPA-421A Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier!

MY EXPERIENCE:

My husband suffers from both indoor and outdoor allergies and wakes up almost every morning sneezing his head off for at least 5 minutes.  Thankfully, for most of my life I didn't have allergies, but ever since I became pregnant with my daughter,  I started to develop the same symptoms as my husband, but to a much lesser degree.  I was extremely excited when the Rabbit Air BioGS SPA-421A Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier arrived, because I was ready to set it up in our bedroom in order to purify the air we breathe every night while we're sleeping.  I especially wanted to see if having this air purifier run in our bedroom every night would help ease my husband's incessant sneezing attacks and help him wake up to brighter mornings.

Setting up the Rabbit Air was extremely easy.  All that you needed to do was basically take it out of the box, remove a few materials to protect it during shipping and you were ready to go.  After reviewing all of the many features of the Rabbit Air BioGS SPA-421A, I was thrilled to find out how state-of-the-art this air purifier is.

The great thing about the Rabbit Air BioGS air purifier is that it will definitely improve the air quality in your home year round.  An air purifier increases air circulation in the home and filters out the harmful germs and bacteria that become more prevalent during the winter months. In addition, the Rabbit Air purifier eliminates sources of pollen and allergens, smoke and odors from cooking, and common household chemicals which can aggravate the lungs and trigger the symptoms related to allergies.

Rabbit Air makes the only air purifiers that feature a new generation, bio-engineered HEPA filter that not only traps, but destroys allergens down to 0.3 microns in size. An anti-bacterial coating from a special leaf extract on the HEPA filter kills germs, viruses and bacteria circulating in the air, and an activated carbon charcoal filter absorbs chemical fumes, odors and smoke from cigarettes or cooking.

As you can see from the picture below, it was very easy to understand the digital display on the front of the BioGS air purifying unit.  There are several different modes of operation which automatically optimize your air according to varying conditions.  At a glance, you can immediately see where your current air ranks in both odor and particles and dust.  Negative ions are automatically regulated and the air purifier will generate negative ions into your air when necessary.  You can also set this unit to run according to a timer and it will automatically alert you when your filters need to be changed and/or cleaned too.

Finally, you should know where to use the Rabbit Air purifier.  The BioGS air purifier has the capacity to completely circulate allergy causing air twice in an hour on the turbo setting, with a range of operation at 600 square feet (with an 8 foot ceiling).  If you are an extreme allergy sufferer, then plan on using the Rabbit Air purifier in a room no larger than 300 square feet (with an 8 foot ceiling) for maximum air purification.  Also, they don't call the BioGS SPA-421A air purifier ULTRA QUIET for nothing!  It has five different speeds of operation and is fairly silent, even on it's highest fan speed.  Most of the time, I actually have to put my hand over the air vent on top to see if it's working, because I just can't hear it running!

Now, that I've told you how the Rabbit Air BioGS SPA-421A Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier works, and why it is essential to improving the air quality in your home and why it is also a low-impact product and good for our environment, you're probably wondering, "Well, does it work?"  I've tried it out in our bedroom now for two weeks and I can honestly say, "YES!".  My husband and I both agree that we have slept more soundly and haven't tossed and turned as much during the night since using the Rabbit Air purifier.  Also, and most importantly, MY HUSBAND HAS NOT AWOKEN SNEEZING HIS HEAD OFF YET!  Now, if that isn't a ringing endorsement recommendation, I don't know what is!
