I'm sure that I'm not alone here when I say that cleaning my bathroom is one of the WORST housekeeping chores.  I hate getting down on my hands and knees, scrubbing a dirty toilet and I really detest that disgusting toilet bowl brush.  You can dress it up with a lovely container, but we all know the germs and filth that is lurking on that brush.

Thankfully, SC Johnson has designed a system to not only clean your toilet bowl, without the nasty brush, but also keep it clean in-between cleanings so that you don't have to scrub it so often.  I was lucky enough to review the Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush 2-in-1 Starter Kit as well as the Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel.

Thank goodness I received the Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush 2-in-1 Starter Kit today, since I actually was planning on rolling up my sleeves and conquering the toilets!  I absolutely hate reusing that disgusting toilet brush, but didn't know there were too many other options.  The Fresh Brush 2-in-1 kit is actually called that because it has two different kinds of brushes included.  You get two of the heavy duty brushes which have a scrubbing pad on the end, to remove tough stains, and you get four of the flushable pads which look more like a small mop head.

These are great for everyday touch-ups, or as I like to say, when Pablo Picasso stops by to paint a mural in your toilet bowl!  :)  I also received the Toilet Cleaning Gel which actually sticks to the inside of your bowl and releases a small amount of cleaning solution every time you flush.

I began by scrubbing my toilets with the heavy duty max pad included in the Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush 2-in-1 kit.  It really did work just as well as my old wire brush and removed the dark ring around the bowl easily.  The max pad was easily disposed of in the trash too, so I didn't have to worry about storing it in a stinky, germ-ridden container.  Also, the pad comes infused with Scrubbing Bubbles toilet cleaner, so you don't have to use a separate toilet bowl cleaner either.

I then went over the bowl with the flushable touch-ups pads.  I guess this step wasn't really necessary, but I wanted to see how they worked.  I liked that these pads came with a citrusy smelling cleaner and they made the entire bowl smell fresh.  Finally, I used the Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel and easily stamped one of these discs to the inside of the toilet bowl.  It was super easy to do and now I knew that my clean bowl would stay that way for a while!

I'm so glad that Scrubbing Bubbles invented a quick, easy and SANITARY way to clean the toilet bowl, which is my least favorite chore!  The Fresh Brush 2-in-1 is geared to handle your toughest jobs as well as the daily "murals" quickly and effortlessly.  The max pads can easily be thrown in the trash and the touch-up pads are flushable.  They're also infused with toilet bowl cleaner already, thus eliminating that step.

I also really liked how quick and easy it is to apply the Toilet Cleaning Gel, once the bowl is clean.  Each disc lasts for one week and you can actually see when it's gone and time to stick another one on.  I think my grimy toilet bowl brush has finally hit the road for good!
