I love decorating our home and I'm currently in the middle of a huge project...decorating my daughter's room in the style of a fun, Spring garden. I'm going all out with this one, since I don't plan on revamping her room for at least another 10 or 12 years!
Riley absolutely adores frogs and I thought that having a special froggy blanket in her room to curl up with would be a wonderful addition to the decor. As soon as I saw the Stomp the Happy Frog Blanket from Happy Blankie, I fell in love! This would be the perfect blanket for Riley and her new room! Keep reading to learn more!
Happy Blankie is a company founded on a seven-year-old's idea to combine stuffed animals with blankets. The result? Four extremely soft and cute animal-shaped blankets which are delightful to cuddle with as well as to look at. Happy Blankie offers dog, pig, frog and bear designed blankets which are guaranteed to make you and your child smile.
One of the best parts about the Happy Blankie company is that they have also managed to make a lot of other children around the world smile too, through their ONE to Love, ONE to Share concept. For every Happy Blankie that is sold, another one is donated to a child in need, in a destination of YOUR choosing. Simply fill out the "giving is cool" tag, included with every order and send a smile to another child across the globe. Watch the following video to learn more:
As soon as I saw the Happy Blankie package arrive in the mail, I was excited to see the Stomp the Happy Frog Blanket. The first thing that impressed me was how fun the packaging was. There was a neat rainbow lollipop included as well as a large card from the seven-year-old creator and founder of Happy Blankie himself, David Holdridge.
Stomp the Happy Frog was made from a plush, minky green, dotted fabric, which was trimmed and backed with a lime green satin. This satin backing made the blanket very smooth and silky against the skin, while the minky green frog face, was extremely soft and luxurious. Stomp the Happy Frog's eyes, mouth and nose were all embroidered perfectly onto the front and Riley couldn't have been more elated to cuddle with Stomp, as shown below!
The only criticism I have of the Stomp the Happy Frog blanket is that unfortunately, I think their sizes are a little too small. Riley is only 28-months old and right at 3-feet tall, but as you can see in the picture above, the medium-sized Happy Blankie (36" x 40") won't cover her for long. If you are planning on purchasing one of these blankets for yourself or your child, I would recommend investing in the large size, for I feel that the medium and the small sizes are just a tad too small.
Of course, if you have a young child and plan on using this Happy Blankie for a great travel blanket, baby blanket or stroller blanket, then the smaller sizes would be perfect. Stomp the Happy Frog has now found a permanent spot in the reading rocking chair in Riley's room. I just know that Riley will spend many happy evenings with Stomp at her side, curled up with a good book!
