Lullabelly Prenatal Music Belt ~ Play Music to Your Baby in the Womb

Rate this post

I think it is fairly common knowledge regarding the benefits of playing music and singing or talking to your child while still in the womb.  I put this to the test while carrying Riley and have since become a believer in the power of music and a mother's voice to an unborn child.  I was a teacher while pregnant with Riley, so she heard me yapping all day long, every day.

For months after she was born, it seemed that my voice was the only thing that could soothe her when she was upset or fussy.  Also, I tried stretching headphones across my belly for many months (until they finally broke) and playing her the comforting and melodic tunes of Enya and even two and a half years later, she still loves it any time she hears one of their songs.

Lullabelly has created an ingenious device which makes playing music for your baby incredibly simple and convenient.  Keep reading to learn much more about this prenatal must-have!

I reviewed the Lullabelly Prenatal Music Beltin Sunshine Yellow from Lullabelly, which retails for $55.00 with FREE SHIPPING.

Research has shown that playing music during pregnancy can help reduce stress levels for both mother and child, improves baby's sleeping habits after being born, lays the foundation for your baby's learning abilities, encourages the development of language and memory skills and creates a wonderful bonding experience during your pregnancy.

Lullabelly is the modern mom's way to safely and comfortably play music to her baby in the womb.  Instead of stretching headphones across your belly until they snap (like mine did), now you can wear a safe belt across your tummy.  With the Lullabelly, parents can play lullabies, audio books, voice recordings, etc. by simply plugging in the Lullabelly's 3.5 mm plug to an iPod, smartphone, laptop or mp3 player.

This ultra-soft minky fabric also has adjustable Velcro straps so that it can be easily and comfortably secured to your growing belly and grow right along with you!  It even has a large front pocket with zipper so that it can house your portable music player for true hands-free operation.  My favorite feature has to be the included sound splitter and deluxe comfort earphones with volume control.  Now mom or dad can tune in and listen right along with baby...what a bonding experience!

Finally, the sound level speaker in the Lullabelly prenatal music belt is completely removable so that the belt can be laundered in the washing machine.

If you are expecting or you are looking for the perfect gift for someone who is, then don't hesitate to purchase the Lullabelly prenatal music belt.  A gift that can promote healthy sleeping habits, improved learning abilities and a closer bond between mother and child?  What's not to like about that?  Any mommy-to-be will be thrilled to wear the new Lullabelly on her belly!

  • Hi there! I just want to ask something. Is this really therapeutic to both mom and kid? I have read a lot of books that pregnant women can actually put headphones to their tummy, but this technology is a lot convenient and safer to use. Is there a limit of hours when you want to play it?

    • Hi Krissy,

Great questions! Here's my completely unqualified opinion...I always loved putting the headphones on my tummy when pregnant with Riley because it basically made me sit down, put my feet up and concentrate on her, which was definitely therapeutic. I haven't read anything regarding how much music or sound is too much for baby, but I would think that as long as the music or audio being played was always soothing and soft, it couldn't be bothersome, no matter how much it was played. Personally, I would do it for a few hours per day and not play music too much, for I still want my baby to know my voice over anything else. I just love how the Lullabelly allows you to tune in to the music you're playing for baby and also makes it so that if you want to walk around and do chores, you can. Thanks again for stopping by and leaving a great comment!

  • I'm pregnant with my second child, and I was a little concerned a few weeks back, because the baby was in the breech position, and nothing I seemed to do would turn her. I got myself a pair of belly buds, and wore them around the house for a couple days, playing her classical music and keeping the headphones low on my belly (hoping to lure her downwards.) Anyway, it worked! The next time I went to the doctor, she was in the "head-down" position, and has stayed there ever since.

I've continued using my belly buds, since I read that playing music is stimulating for the baby (and after nine months in there, she's gotta be a little bored:). They're lightweight, easy to use, and perhaps most importantly, they make me feel like I'm doing something nice for my baby, even as I'm just going about my day. I highly recommend this product to any expectant mother.

    • Thanks so much for your comment, JJ! That's amazing that the power of music brought your baby out of the breach position! :) Too cool!
