OVERVIEW: Most every woman I know has something about her body that she doesn't like and most every woman would also love to weigh less than she currently does.  I definitely fall into both of those categories, which is why I was intrigued by the Miraclebody jeans.  These jeans claim to make you look 10 pounds lighter in 10 seconds and to help camouflage those excess pounds, making your body look longer and leaner.  Well, who could resist trying these jeans on?  Not me.  I was so thankful when the folks at Miraclebody sent me a pair of the Samantha Boot Cut Jeans with Aquarius Pocket in a size 6. MY EXPERIENCE: I couldn't wait to receive these jeans in the mail!  As soon as they arrived, I tore into them and tried them on immediately, for they couldn't have arrived at a better time.  My husband and I were going out to eat with some friends and I desperately needed some nice jeans to wear.  The color of the Samantha Boot Cut Jeans with Aquarius Pocket was a little darker than the pictures online depict, but that was fine with me since denim tends to fade over time anyway.  Also, the darker hue made these jeans seem more dressed up. The size 6 fit me perfectly and the length was also right on the money.  I tend to have rather long legs and need AT LEAST a 32" inseam, which I was happy to discover the Samantha Jeans have.  These jeans are constructed of 96% cotton and 4% spandex, which seemed more concentrated toward the top of the jeans.  To me, the Miraclebody Samantha Jeans work in much the same way as a girdle, only MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE!  These jeans are very thick and do not stretch as much in the thigh, hip and waist areas, which tend to hold you in, thus making you look thinner.  The great thing is that they were very comfortable and I could bend, sit and move around without feeling pinched or like I couldn't breathe. I also loved the Aquarius design on the pocket of these jeans!  I thought the stitching was very well done and the design was unique and interesting.  I also liked that all of the rivets on the jeans had a cursive "M" on them.  Now, I know the "M" stands for Miraclebody, but in my mind, it really stands for "Melissa"!  Unfortunately, these Miraclebody jeans did not make me look much better.  Don't get me wrong, I definitely had a flatter lower stomach as well as thinner thighs too, but those areas are not my problem areas or where I have the most weight to conceal.  My excess weight is concentrated around my midsection in the old "spare tire" area.  If you look at the lower left picture, you can see that the waistband of these jeans didn't come up high enough to conceal that area on my body, so I ended up with the classic "muffin top".  Because the waistband of the Samantha Jeans is higher than most jeans I own, all that ended up happening was my "muffin top" got squeezed upward, which really looked odd.  I didn't like my figure in these jeans and so took them off, not wearing them to dinner that night. I really think that Miraclebody is onto something with their line of jeans.  Unfortunately, I didn't have the right body type to work well with the Samantha Boot Cut Jeans with Aquarius Pocket.  If you have a lot of excess weight around your midsection, know that the Samantha jeans will not come up high enough to conceal it and will instead just push it higher.  If Miraclebody would raise the waistband of their jeans another 1-2 inches, I believe I would have had my "spare tire" adequately sucked in.  I wish they would because I could really use a great pair of jeans like this which would make me look slimmer at the same time...and besides, with 80's fashions back in style again, couldn't we bring back the high-waisted pants too?
