Unfortunately, I have been cursed with adult acne.  Thankfully, I don't break out all over my face, just mainly on my cheeks.  I've tried almost everything I can think of to tame my unruly flareups, with minimal success.  That's why, when Ole Henriksen contacted me about reviewing their Blemish Attack Purifying Mask for Oily/Blemish Prone Skin, I jumped at the chance.

This reparative anti-inflammatory mask promotes clear and healthy skin with salicylic acid, copper and zinc. The paraben-free formula combines purifying clays and calming botanicals to help absorb impurities, minimizes breakouts and reduce excess surface oil.

I couldn't wait to try out this mask for it contained so many ingredients designed to beautify your skin in different ways.  For instance, the Blemish Attack Purifying Mask contains:

• Salicylic acid ~ Removes dry and flaky skin
• Aloe vera ~ Moisturizes, calms and heals
• Copper and zinc ~ Calms and soothes with antioxidants
• Eucalyptus extract ~ Oxygenates and prevents infection
• African red tea and green tea ~ Strengthens the skin’s outer layer, slows the aging process, calms and soothes the skin

I would definitely be able to benefit from all of the above.  I applied the mask as I would any facial mask (clean skin and avoid the eye area) and left it to dry for a half hour.  Next, I washed it off with warm water and then followed up with a toner and my regular facial moisturizer.

After removing the mask, I immediately noticed how much smoother and less oily my skin seemed to be.  I also noticed a definite reduction in the number of blackheads too.  The Blemish Attack Purifying Mask rid my face of some acne-causing agents, which I'm sure were perpetuating the cycle of my breakouts.  I am hopeful that with continued use (twice per week), I can finally see a drastic reduction in my adult acne.

If you are like me, an unfortunate victim of frequent breakouts, then I would highly recommend the Blemish Attack Purifying Mask from Ole Henriksen.  Your skin will thank you for it!
