Colossal Christmas Countdown: 32 Days Until Christmas!

Finding out about all of the latest toys and cool shows on television is a hallmark of being a parent, it seems.  Before Riley, I never knew anything at all about the hottest toys and cartoons.  Since becoming a parent, I'm quickly discovering a whole new world that I hadn't known anything about since I was a child myself.  Of course, because Riley is a toddler and a girl, my knowledge is still fairly limited. For instance, there is an entire world of mythical space warriors out there called Bakugan, which apparently is all the rage for young boys.  Spin Master generously allowed me to delve into the world of Bakugan by reviewing the Dragonoid Colossus.  Since Riley is much too small to play with the Bakugan toy, I had to explore this one myself.  Keep reading to learn more!

Bakugan is a hit cartoon on the Cartoon Network which is now in its third season.  This season, the Battle Brawlers are out to save Earth and the peaceful planet, Neathia.  They must help defeat the Gundalian Protectors of the Dark Bakugan in order to save Earth from certain peril.  Now, I have no idea what any of that means, but it sounds just like a sci-fi adventure any young boy would love.

The Dragonoid Colossus is one super toy that is actually composed of 1 Bakugan, 4 pieces of Bakugan battle gear and 1 transformation hub.  The first thing you should do in order to prepare the Dragonoid Colossus for auto-transformation is to assemble the four pieces of Bakugan battle gear onto the transformation hub as shown in the video above.  The battle gear you receive with this toy includes Blasteroid, Axator Gear, Beamblitzer and Nukix Gear.

Once these pieces are all attached, simply drop Battalix Dragonoid (the round Bakugan) onto the Transformation Hub and this toy springs into life and the Dragonoid Colossus is born!  I loved dropping the Bakugan onto the hub and watching the Dragonoid form!  This was a lot of fun and I'm sure for a little boy who actually understands this whole world of Bakugan, would be quite thrilling!

If you are looking for an extremely hip and very cool sci-fi toy for that hard-to-buy for boy on your Christmas list, then I definitely recommend something from the world of Bakugan!  Spin Master has created an entire mythical realm of toys which are sure to excite any youngster and give them hours upon hours of imaginative play saving the universe from certain destruction.
