WeeRide Convertible Coach ~ The Weather’s Gorgeous So Get Outside and Enjoy It

Colossal Christmas Countdown:

76 Days Until Christmas!

Autumn is a beautiful time of year here in Texas!  The weather is absolutely gorgeous now and it makes you want to spend every moment outside.  I love to ride my bike, but since Riley isn't even two years old yet, we can't exactly go bike riding together.  So what can I do when my husband and I want to jump on our bikes, have an impromptu picnic by the lake in our neighborhood and soak up this cool, crisp air and warm sunshine?

That's where WeeRide comes in!  The WeeRide product line specializes in making your tots just as mobile on your bicycle as you are.  I was fortunate enough to review the WeeRide Convertible Coach, which acts as a bicycle carrier as well as a jogging stroller!  Keep reading to find out more!

I reviewed the WeeRide Convertible Coach from Kent International, Inc., which retails for $129.99.

I have looked at buying a child trailer for my bicycle many times in the past, but have to admit that the ones I found cost almost triple what my entire bicycle cost!  This is one of the main things that excited me about the WeeRide Convertible Coach.  It is an affordable child trailer constructed of a steel frame and a ventilated nylon cover.  Finally, a cost-effective, durable and SAFE solution has arrived!

I was very happy to find that the WeeRide Convertible Coach didn't contain many parts right out of the box and even better, it had NO SCREWS!  I always love it when I don't have to get out the screwdriver, hammer, etc.  All that was needed to assemble this were your own two hands.

The upper left picture shows the back of the Convertible Coach.  It has a small storage area, perfect for taking along a blanket, jackets, food and drinks, toys, etc.  This storage area makes trips to the playground, park, lake, or anywhere your bicycle's two wheels will take you, even more fun!

The inside of the Convertible Coach is very roomy too.  The WeeRide Convertible Coach can comfortably carry one child up to 50 pounds in weight or two children up to 100 pounds in weight.  The fully adjustable 5-point harnesses ensure that all passengers will be riding very safely to their destination.  If you notice, there are also two yellow pockets inside the Convertible Coach just right for carrying water bottles, snacks, juice boxes or small toys.

The WeeRide Convertible Coach has two very large bicycle wheels complete with spokes and reflectors.  They attached very easily using quick release pins.  Because these wheels can be taken on and off, the WeeRide Convertible Coach can actually be stored flat, taking up very little room in your house or garage.  I also liked how every section of the cabin was covered with reflector strips, to ensure that everyone sees you and your precious cargo coming!

The WeeRide also comes complete with a bright yellow and blue four seasons cover.  This cover contains a large roll-up front window and a smaller roll-up rear window for maximum air flow in hotter weather.  The four seasons cover Velcros securely onto the steel frame of the cabin and even has a mesh nylon screen to protect your child from flying debris, bugs, etc. while riding along.  If the weather suddenly turns cold or rainy, both clear windows can be unrolled so as to insulate your child from the inclement conditions.

Getting Riley All Strapped In!

Why Does Riley Remind Me of Speed Racer Here? :)

The hitch arm on the front of the Convertible Coach folds easily under the cabin when using it as a jogging stroller.  There is even a wide padded handle which attaches to the back of the cabin, so in a matter of minutes, you can convert this child trailer into a jogging stroller.  This makes it so completely versatile and an excellent value for your money because you are receiving two high-quality products in one!

In no time at all, I had the WeeRide Convertible Coach completely assembled and all that was left was to load Riley up and attach it to the rear axle of my bike.  Riley was getting very impatient and was so ready to get going!  She immediately jumped into the Convertible Coach and even helped us strap her into the 5-point harness!

"Enough Pictures Mom! I'm Ready To Go Riding!"

I have to admit that I was stunned once I began riding my bike with her behind me in the WeeRide Convertible Coach, for it didn't feel like I was pulling anything at all!  I didn't feel any extra drag or tug, which I expected from pulling the weight of Riley and of the Convertible Coach.  This made things very comfortable for me and I felt like I could ride all day with her back there.  Riley had an absolute ball too!  I kept hearing her squeal with delight and jabbering away about being in her own "vroom, vroom"!

The only thing I noticed that was slightly bothersome was that the small third wheel by the hitch made an annoying grating noise anytime my bicycle veered slightly left.  I think it was because the third wheel didn't consistently stay on the ground, and when it was making contact, the grating noise would occur.  Also, because the WeeRide Convertible Coach doesn't have a solid floor per se, Riley seemed to sink very low like she weighed 300 pounds, when she only weighs 30.

These two concerns I just mentioned though are very small in the grand scheme of things and I think that the WeeRide Convertible Coach is a must buy for anyone who loves to jog or ride their bike and wants to take their toddler(s) with them.  It is a very durable and safe child carrier which provides high performance at an extremely reasonable price!

Disclosure:  I received the WeeRide Convertible Coach from Kent International, Inc. in order to facilitate my review. No other compensation was received. This product review is based on my own personal experiences with this item and is completely honest and objective.
