Yandy.comWith Halloween just around the corner, odds are that you have at least begun considering what you and the family will be dressing up like this year.  A few seasons ago, Michael and I purchased these really great ghoulish zombie costumes which is what I'm sure we will be wearing again this Halloween.

But while Halloween comes but once a year, it seems that themed parties happen in my life all the time.  Eighties-themed parties have suddenly become all the rage and while my authentic blue-jean jacket with the large Slaughter and Guns 'N' Roses patches sewn all over never cease to amaze, I'd really love to have a true 80's costume to wear when attending these parties.

Yandy.com, a leader in lingerie, recently surprised me with the large variety of costumes they carried.  I had the chance to review the 80's Party Girl Costume and accessories.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the following items from Yandy.com:

80's Party Girl Costume, which retails for $34.95

Fishnet Fingerless Gloves in Black, which retail for $4.95

Cyndi Lauper Wig, which retails for $11.95

Layered Tulle Petticoat in Neon Pink, which retails for $19.95

Fishnet Stockings in Black (No Longer Carry the Ones I Received)

Starting as a small start up business, Yandy.com has grown into one of the leading suppliers of lingerie and costumes on the internet.  Now stocking over 6,500 items in a brand new, state of the art Phoenix, Arizona facility. Yandy's already enormous selection grows daily with new items constantly added from over 20 top manufacturers such as Dreamgirl and Leg Avenue as well as boutique brands like Dreamy Intimates.

As soon as I saw the picture above, I knew that this would be the perfect 80's costume for me!  The fun and flirty skirt and wild zebra corset coupled with the too cool pink legwarmers made this one rockin' outfit!  The 80's Party Girl Costume came complete with the four pieces seen in the lower left picture (black camisole top, reversible pettiskirt, zebra print waist cincher and pink legwarmers).

Of course, in order to complete the look, I also ordered the following accessories, shown in the lower right picture (Cyndi Lauper wig, layered tulle petticoat in neon pink, black fingerless fishnet gloves and black fishnet stockings).

As you can see in the picture of myself wearing this outfit, I think that the layered tulle petticoat in neon pink makes a great addition.  It helps to flare the included pettiskirt of the costume out even further and make it appear much thicker.  The neon pink layered tulle pettiskirt is so cute that I wouldn't hesitate to wear it alone with a wild print top and denim jacket (if I was dressing 80's of course).  I also thought that the fishnet fingerless gloves were an essential accessory for this particular costume.

The black fishnet stockings are highly recommended as well, but I have to admit that I wouldn't recommend purchasing the particular style that I did.  The holes of the fishnets were quite large and the toes weren't reinforced, which meant that my own tootsies stuck through the large holes and were rather uncomfortable.

I also have to begrudgingly admit that the Cyndi Lauper wig was kind of a flop too.  No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get it to look like the wig in the picture.  It also looked very inexpensive and didn't fit on my head well for it was too large and didn't seem to stretch much.  Other than that, I couldn't have been happier with the 80's Party Girl Costume and accessories I ordered from Yandy.com.

I would like to leave you with one word of caution though when ordering this particular costume.  In regular clothes, I typically wear a size 6-8 and so was very tempted to order the size small/medium in the 80's Party Girl Costume from Yandy.com since it was supposed to fit sizes 6-10, but I'm glad I thought better and ordered the size large/x-large instead.

This large size, which is supposed to fit sizes 10-14, fit me perfectly.  The reason I went with the larger size was because I didn't mind if this costume was a little baggy, but knew I'd be out of luck if it happened to be too small.  So if you currently wear a size 10 or above, just know that this costume will probably fit exceptionally snug, and if you wear a size 6-8 like I do, definitely opt for the larger size!
