Being a mom of a 16-month old, makes working out on a regular basis fairly difficult.  Like most people, I would rather not do it.  I'm much better at making excuses as to why I can't fit working out into my day, because it is not a pleasurable thing for me to do.  Before having Riley, I used to work out at home pretty regularly and I really liked using exercise videos to do just that.  I have a huge collection of videos that I really like, ranging from Billy Blanks to Denise Austin, to even MTV Dance Workout videos and kickboxing.

So, you might be asking yourself then, why would I need another video?  The answer is because most all of those videos have you working out for 45 minutes to an hour.  I really don't have that large of a chunk of time available that I can dedicate to working out.  Currently, my scheduled workout time is when Riley goes down for a nap.  There's no one to interrupt me then and it's a time frame that I find works for me.

She only naps for about 1.5 hours, though, and I have many things that I have to accomplish during that time, so an hour long workout is just too long now.  That's what's great about this video.  All of the routines are only 20 minutes.  Now, you might not think that you're not accomplishing much in only 20 minutes, but that's also what makes this video great.  I have never been so sore, so EVENLY all over my body, from any other video.  Not even from all of the ones I've used that last 2 or 3 times as long!

I was amazed that so much could be done in such a short period of time.  Also, I have seen so many unique moves that I've never seen before!  I'm no stranger to workout videos, but I was very impressed at which moves were chosen for the routines.  They are highly effective and most of them are new to me!  I have been using this video for 2 weeks now, every other day, and I am very happy with how challenging, how intense and how varied the routines are.

Full Body Slim Down: This routine is challenging, but what's good is that every move Stephanie takes you through starts out easy and then gets progressively harder.  If you can't do the harder variation of the move, you can keep going at the level that is appropriate for you and then work up to the more difficult move.

Quick Trim Torso: This routine is the least challenging for me, but it gave me the greatest soreness in my midsection, as compared to the other two.

Quick Calorie Blast: This routine is the most challenging of the three.  I was sweating pretty good after only ONE MINUTE.  It is a terrific full body workout and will definitely serve you well in the cardio department. I also love how all of the videos have a countdown timer in the upper left hand corner of the screen.  I look at this frequently, especially when times get tough.  It is a great motivator to push yourself a little more because you know that you're almost finished.

Also, if you have more time to workout, or need a more intense workout, it is very easy to add one of the bonus workouts onto your 20 minute workout, or even couple two different twenty minute workouts together.  This video enables you to customize your fitness routine to exactly what you want to accomplish.

This video doesn't really have any weaknesses, in my opinion.  The only thing I can think of is perhaps the equipment that is used.  Because dumbbells are the primary workout equipment used, as you get stronger, you will have to buy heavier dumbbells.  If something else such as workout bands were used instead, you could automatically increase the tension gradually without buying more equipment.

I think that this is a very good workout video and I am seriously contemplating ordering more videos from this series.  These videos definitely have the busy person without much time to spare in mind.  I have been using these videos now for about two weeks and I still find them interesting and challenging.  The price is fantastic too.

I would actually pay more for this video than what it sells for in stores.  If you are super busy and spend your time making excuses instead of getting in shape, than I highly recommend giving this video a try.  It is impossible for me to make an excuse now when all I need is 20 minutes per day!
