Uncommon GoodsNow that Mother's Day is roughly a week away, you may be scrambling for a gift to really make mom feel special.  I pride myself on finding unique and unusual products to give as gifts and if there's one place on the web that has unique and unusual covered, it's UncommonGoods.

While gifts for mom are what's hot right now, UncommonGoods carries a wide variety of everything under the sun, including cool Japanese gifts and even great gift ideas for boys.  I had the opportunity to select something from their collection of Mothers Day gifts and once I saw the Four Seasons Glass Globes, I just knew one of these would look fabulous in my guest room.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Four Seasons Glass Globe - Summer from UncommonGoods, which retails for $45.00.

UncommonGoods Four Seasons Glass Globes

Enjoy all the seasons year round with the unique Tree of Enchantment decorative recycled glass globes from Canadian artist Stephen Kitras.  The gorgeous hand blown glass orb features an interior glass "trunk," which branches to support the translucent colors of the tree's leaves.  Choose between Spring's fresh greens, the vibrant shades of Summer, the crisp oranges of Autumn and Winter's cool blues, or hang all four orbs in a sunny window for a dazzling display of the seasons' cycle of life.

I had such a hard time choosing between the four seasons, but in the end, I decided to select the summer orb for it had the most dazzling array of colors.  My guest room is a nod to a country bed and breakfast and I want there to be a classic handmade touch to this room.  The Four Seasons Recycled Glass Globes fit in perfectly with my decor and looks brilliant when placed in front of a window.

I have a double window in this room and would love to have both the spring and summer handblown glass ornaments hanging in front of each one.  What amazing sun catchers these would make!  For now, I have it setting on top of the nightstand inside of a glass candle holder I already owned.

Perhaps I'll save up soon to buy one of the matching globe display stands to really show it off.  Everyone that's seen this unique glass ball has commented on how lovely it is and has inquired as to where I got it.  It's definitely a high-quality conversational piece that looks wonderful in our new guest room.

If you are busy racking your brain trying to think of some original gift ideas for mom or dad, or if your husband and/or friends are next to impossible to shop for, then take a look at the unique wares from UncommonGoods.  Picking the perfect gift that you know they don't already have couldn't be easier!
