Now that Riley is getting older and is in need of a bonafide "big girl" room, I have thrown myself into making it super special for her.  She's already got a fabulous bed, fun furniture and a funky rug, but I really wanted to give her room a little extra zing.

Since I am currently in the process of transforming Riley's room into a peaceful neighborhood garden, complete with plenty of birds and insects, I was thrilled to find the Stars and Moon Glow in the Dark Decals from Dezign With a Z!  Now, I could make a glowing night sky on her ceiling so that she could sleep under the stars every night amidst the trees and flowers on her walls.

The Stars and Moon for Walls or Ceilings Glow Decals came complete with decals of 2 moons and 16 stars of 4 varying sizes.  Since these decals are on the small side, you might want to purchase two sets for a more dense covering or else choose the larger sized decals.  The first thing I needed to do was cut the stars and moons apart with a pair of scissors for easier placement on Riley's ceiling.

Applying these decals couldn't have been easier.  Simply remove the white backing paper from the decal, leaving only the clear film and the decal itself.  Next, place the decal on a section of the wall or ceiling and rub over the decal with a stiff, flat edge.  I used a credit card, which worked perfectly.  Slowly and carefully remove the clear sheeting from the decal and voila!  You've just applied your first vinyl decal!  Repeat these steps until your walls or ceiling are covered in stars.

As you can see from the pictures above, the glow decals from Dezign With a Z are barely noticeable during the daytime, but as soon as the lights turn off, they spring into life.  Now while they aren't nearly as bright as the picture on their website, I was impressed at how much light they do put off.  I surprised Riley with her new ceiling's design when I put her to bed a few nights ago and she loved the results!

She just kept pointing to all of the new night sky additions on her ceiling and squealing with delight.  Dezign With a Z is a wonderful source for vinyl wall lettering and decals of almost anything imaginable.  They provided just the right zing for my little girl's room and I know they will be able to do the same for your home too!
