H-E-BH-E-B Beauty Pick of the Month This year, I've been chosen to participate in the H-E-B Beauty Bloggers program! Each and every month, I will be bringing you the H-E-B Beauty Pick of the Month with plenty of chances to nab some great prizes too!

One of the easiest ways to update your overall look is to simply change the colors of cosmetics you're wearing.  I have my typical go-to colors appropriate for each season, which all tend to revolve around neutrals in one way or another.

Of course, summer is the season for bright and bold colors and your makeup can definitely follow suit.  The hot new summer cosmetics shade this year is coral.  Now I'm not typically bold enough to wear these dramatic peachy hues, but leave it to H-E-B and Revlon to bring me out of my shell.

This month's beauty feature is an entire summer accessories collection of lip and nail color in coral from Revlon.  Keep reading to learn more!

Revlon Summer Accessories Coral Cosmetics Collection

I've been a Revlon girl for as long as I can remember, so naturally I was excited to learn that H-E-B had chosen Revlon's newest lines of lip and nail color to be the July beauty products feature.  When I opened the package of goodies sent to me, I wasn't expecting the shocking coral hue and thought to myself, "Oh boy, these shades will never look good on me."  Since I have pink undertones to my skin, blonde hair and blue eyes, I always thought that I should stay away from the warmer shades and stick to more berry, neutral or pink colors.

So imagine my surprise when I tried the first product, the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti.  It glided onto my lips like...well, butter.  (Who didn't see that coming?  It seems that Revlon definitely chose the appropriate name for this particular lipstick!)  What's more, the color was a sheer, shimmery type of shade on my lips and looked beautiful.  I was so smitten with this particular product that it immediately found a home in my purse for quick lipstick touch-ups on the go.

While I might be more demure with my lip color, I'm the exact opposite with my nail color.  The bolder and brighter, the better!  So naturally, I was drawn to the Revlon ColorStay Nail Enamel in Marmalade.  It is a wild shade of coral that looks great on those toes while wiggling them about in the sand or in your favorite pair of summer sandals.  What's more, the Revlon ColorStay formula is one of my absolute favorites because it offers 11-days of wear with base and top coat and has a gel-like shine to it.

Revlon Summer Accessories Coral CosmeticsAs much as I loved the Marmalade hue, my definite favorite Revlon nail enamel was the Top Speed in Peachy.  This color was a tad toned-down, making it perfect for the everyday and a softer look for a night out on the town.  It also just happened to pair perfectly with my favorite lip color, the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti.  I also quickly became a fan of the Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss in Sizzle.

It's a sheer lip gloss that adds tons of shine and just a bit of color.  It also paired beautifully with the ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti and has now become my newest 1-2 knockout punch for a "get-you-noticed" pout.

I've never used a lip stain before, though I'm no stranger to the lip liner pencil.  That's why I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous.  Unlike the harsh line that a lip liner pencil brings, the stain provided a soft flush of color that literally seemed to last forever.

I ate and drank during two different occasions while wearing this stain and my color was still there.  Again, the name of this product is appropriate for the long-lasting hint of color gives your lips that "just bitten" look making it the perfect summer accessory.

I wasn't that big on either the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Siren or the Revlon Nail Enamel in Siren.  Both of these products match each other well, but were just a little too bright and shocking a shade for my tastes.  Now, if you're like me, you like to pair your lip and nail color whenever possible and if the two products don't have the same color name, you might be wondering if it's a match or a clash. Here's the low-down on the new Revlon Show-Stopping Coral Collection, so that you can master this hot summer trend:

Needless to say, I was thrilled by the July beauty pick of the month products from H-E-B.  I would never have chosen such a bold collection of coral lip and nail colors to try, but they looked surprisingly beautiful, even on my rosy skin.  Now thanks to Revlon and H-E-B, I can update my look and master this summer's hottest trend.  Make sure to pick up a new Revlon lip and nail color from the coral collection on your next shopping trip to H-E-B.  You'll be glad you did and for a limited time, you can even save $4.00 off the pair!
