I love that my home actually has a formal dining room, for it's the perfect space to use when friends and family visit for the holidays.  It also makes a great entryway since it's one of the first rooms you see when coming into our home.  The furniture that's in our formal dining room is very special to me, for it originally belonged to my great-grandmother and was purchased in Germany around the 1900s.  It's been handed down through the generations and is now on display in my home.
