Spring is one of my favorite seasons and here in Texas, it's in full swing!  Everywhere I look, I notice new blossoms and buds, the returning of green grass and even leaves on the trees.  Right now, we're experiencing the wild winds of March, but in a few weeks, April showers will be the order of the day.

Since having Riley, I have to admit that I've been a tad envious at times of some of the cute shoes she has available, especially when it comes to specialty shoes, such as rain and winter boots.  Well, thankfully, Nomad Footwear was created!  When I first saw the large selection of unique, fashionable (and even slightly eccentric) rain boots they offered, I think a bit of drool dripped from the corner of my mouth.  I must warn you in advance...there are some extremely cool and funky shoes here!

All of Nomad Footwear's rain boots are composed entirely of water-resistant rubber!  This was shocking to me, for several of their selections looked more like hand-painted leather.  This all-rubber construction gives these rain boots their water resiliency.  Now mind you, Nomad Footwear makes it very clear that these boots are not intended to be waterproof, so in extreme conditions, your feet may still get slightly wet.  But, for the everyday puddle or rainstorm, your feet will stay dry and toasty.

I couldn't believe that there was even such a thing as Cowboy Rain Boots, so being from Texas, of course I had to select a pair.  I loved the classic brown and black plaid design of the Harness Brown/Plaid Cowboy Rain Boots.  These boots are so versatile, for they will match most of the outfits in my closet.

The 2-inch rubber heel and the black buckle harness around the ankle also gave this shoe an edgy look.  These boots don't only provide a sense of style, but also a sense of safety, for they have a rugged, non-slip sole which ensures you never lose your footing in wet and rainy conditions.

I also loved how well these rain boots fit my feet and how comfortable they were to walk around in.  Here is where I will issue one word of caution though.  I have very narrow feet and rather skinny calves and these cowboy rain boots fit me wonderfully well.  If you have wider feet or calves, you may experience a pretty snug fit with this particular style.  In this case, I would suggest steering away from the cowboy boot style and going with one of their regular rain boot styles instead.
