TwisterWhat person on this planet hasn't played or at least heard of the classic game, Twister?  Not too many, if I had to guess.  Twister is one of the first games I can remember playing at middle school parties and it never ceased to make everyone involved crack up laughing.

Now, Hasbro has created Twister Dance, a modern "twist" on the original game which reminds me a lot of the super popular Dance, Dance Revolution.  Except with Twister Dance, you will be doing the latest steps on the four classic Twister dots...with the help of Britney Spears.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Twister Dance game from Hasbro, which retails for $34.99 with FREE SHIPPING.

Twister Dance

Twister Dance Will Have You Grooving Your Socks Off

As seen in the "Til the World Ends (Twister Remix)" video featuring Britney Spears, Twister Dance combines today's best dance music with the iconic Twister spots.  Twister Dance gives girls a new, fun way to learn moves to today's hottest dance songs.  Twister Dance includes a custom Twister remix of "Til the World Ends" by Britney Spears, as well as an exclusive Twister Dance song called "Caught Up in a Twister".

Girls can get psyched to rock out to today's most popular music by artists such as Ke$ha and Willow Smith while moving their feet to the colored spots on the floor that coordinate with the multi-colored LED lights on the dance console.  Plus, players can rock the spots to their own music choice by connecting any mp3 player to the dance console, challenging themselves and their friends with new and different songs every time they play.

I think that Twister Dance is a game many teens and tweens will enjoy playing, especially because they have the ability to use their very own songs with the dance console.  It's designed for 1 or 2 players ages 8 years old and up and requires 4 "AA" batteries, although I would have liked to see this game come with an AC adapter so as not to go through so many batteries.  Unfortunately, because the classic Twister dots are just moveable decals, there's really no way to keep score or play head-to-head with a friend.

Also, as a parent, I have to question the use of Britney Spears and Ke$ha as featured artists for Twister Dance.  Yes, they make good music that's pretty popular, but their images don't exactly match the wholesome fun that Twister has always been known for.  Other than that, I think girls everywhere will probably enjoy the Twister Dance game by Hasbro and it will soon become a staple for having fun at parties and sleepovers.
