Now, I have to be perfectly honest with you...I was NOT looking forward to completing this week's mission as part of the Houston Gotta Love Chevy Mom's Time Out team.  You see, I was supposed to get a one hour massage at Massage Envy.  Most of you are probably thinking, "Is this girl crazy?", but it's true!

I have never had a massage before and I was having a hard time imagining a stranger rubbing on me for an HOUR!  Thank goodness I also got to bring along a friend for this mission.  My great friend Wende, was going to accompany me and help me relax and get through this.  Wende has had many massages before and she guaranteed me that I would love it.  Okay, Massage Envy...take me away!

It was great cruising down to Massage Envy in the Chevy Malibu with Wende!  This was the first time that I was in the car WITHOUT my family.  We quickly turned up the Bose sound system to a cool Hip Hop station we found on the XM radio, and jammed the whole way there!

Riding around in a great car with my friend reminded me for a minute of life before marriage and kids.  I almost started to roll down my window and "holla" at someone!  JUST KIDDING!  :)  But seriously, the Chevy Malibu is a great leisure car as well as a terrific family car.  The plush leather seats, Bose sound system and XM radio all add up to an instant party once you throw some friends into this equation.

We arrived at Massage Envy and I was delighted to find that they made you fill out a questionnaire beforehand which asked you several of your preferences.  Once I quickly checked "NO" to the boob, booty or ab rub, I was feeling MUCH more at ease.  I had the nicest female masseuse too.  She gave me a full body Swedish massage and I have to admit, that I was extremely relaxed and the whole massage felt TREMENDOUS!  Now, I want to try and talk my husband into doing this at least once a month!  Also, the hour seemed to fly by...why did I think an hour was going to be so long again?  Hmm...I forgot.

When our time was up, Wende and I piled back into the Chevy Malibu, but neither of us wanted to leave yet.  We were sitting in a very comfortable, air conditioned car just sipping our water and chatting about our massages.  We even happened to find an XM station entitled "Spa".  How perfect was that?  So for everyone out there who has never had a massage and might be a tad on the nervous side about getting one, let me reassure you.  I was just like you, but now I can't believe I ever had those doubts.  Massages are absolutely WONDERFUL!
