Personally, I had never heard of Terri Lee before first laying eyes on the Winter Wonderland Doll I was sent to review.  After experiencing a Terri Lee Doll firsthand though, I can definitely see why these dolls are so popular and are celebrating their 65th anniversary this year.  Keep reading to learn more about a new friend that will make a special girl very happy this holiday season!

Terri Lee's sophisticated taste for classic apparel and all things vintage make her a timeless childhood favorite.  In honor of their 65th anniversary, Terri Lee has introduced the Four Seasons Collection, which is designed to appeal to contemporary kids while satisfying Moms’ demands for wholesome, age-appropriate role play.  The Four Seasons Collection consists of four 15" dolls dressed in each of the four season's cutest and most stylish outfits:

• Swing Into Spring
• Summer by the Sea
• Ready for Recess
• Winter Wonderland

The Winter Wonderland Doll from Terri Lee is the picture of sophistication and reminded me of what Jackie Kennedy Onassis must have looked like when she was a toddler.  This gorgeous doll is wearing her winter best which includes a double-breasted, purple houndstooth coat with solid purple velvet cuffs and collar, white leggings, red corduroy dress, black dress shoes with bows on top and a faux fur hat.

The details of this doll are truly amazing, down to the small white daisy on the coat's lapel and gold buttons on the coat itself.  The face is delicately painted with soft, rosy and slightly dimpled cheeks, brown eyes and magenta lips.  She has thick, chestnut colored hair which is rooted so that any little girl can comb and style this doll's mane with the included purple brush.

The Terri Lee Winter Wonderland Doll is also very pose-able, though I did have trouble getting her to stand upright without falling over.  I think any girl would adore a beautiful doll like this, for she'd make the perfect companion while reading a story or playing "tea time".

My only criticisms come with the red corduroy dress itself and the packaging of the Terri Lee doll.  I would have liked for the red corduroy dress to be a little longer, since it is so short that it doesn't cover up the doll's "privates".  Also, the packaging was a bit excessive to say the least.  I broke a fingernail and even ended up cutting some of the doll's hair just to remove it from its box.  I think when you actually go to stapling plastic pieces permanently into the back of the doll's head in order to secure it to the box, the packaging has gone overboard.

Other than that, I couldn't be happier with the Terri Lee Winter Wonderland Doll and definitely recommend it for your little one.  Dolls are a timeless tradition that every girl loves, so make sure to introduce the special girl in your life to the Four Seasons Collection from Terri Lee!
