In2ition by Delta FaucetAs a mom and owner of three small businesses, I'm busier now than ever before.  Simple tasks like bathing myself, my daughter and my dog can feel more like a race against the clock, depending on the day.  That's why I'm happy to have found a secret weapon in saving time in the tub...the Delta In2ition shower head.

Keep reading to learn why, thanks to my experience with our new Delta shower head, I'll be a Delta mom for life!

I reviewed the In2ition Two-In-One Shower Arm Mounted Shower in the Venetian Bronze finish from Delta Faucet Company, which retails for $410.00.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Polly Pocket. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Polly PocketIn today's high-tech world, it's easy to fall into the trap of buying toys which I call "press and perform" toys.  In my opinion, these are some of the lowest value toys out there, for when you "press" a button, they "perform", requiring zero imagination or creativity on the part of your child.  The problem is, these toys are awfully alluring and most kids flock to the animation, music and flashing lights these toys provide.

Personally, I love it when Riley plays with toys which are 100% kid-powered, meaning that the fun factor is 100% dictated by the child.  She has a million different toys like this, but dolls always seem to be her favorite, hands-down.  That's why I was happy to learn of a whole new set of Polly Pocket playsets from Mattel just perfect for summer fun!

Monsters UniversityDo you remember the movie, Monsters Inc.?  This happens to be one of my family's all-time faves because the story line was unique and original and the entire movie was so well done.  Billy Crystal and John Goodman were classic in their characters of Mike and Sully, and who could resist the charming songs from Randy Newman?

To this day, my daughter laughs like Boo (on purpose) and we still like to try and scare each other around the house, thus generating "scream energy".  When we heard that Disney had created a brand new prequel to the original, called Monsters University, we were beside ourselves with anticipation.  Keep reading to learn more about the must-see family blockbuster of the summer!  (I promise I'll try not to include any spoilers in my review.)

Monsters University opens nationwide on Friday, June 21st!

VTechMy father-in-law is one special person that is next to impossible to forget once you've met him.  He has such a zest for life and has truly never met a stranger.  I love that even at nearly 80 years old, he's always on the go, though my husband and I often worry about him.

You see, he lives almost 3 hours away from us in a house all by himself.  Now while he has innumerable friends and family nearby, what worries us constantly are the following scenarios:

  • What would happen if he tripped and fell down the stairs in his home?
  • What would happen if he had a heart attack or other sudden illness that would make it impossible for him to reach the phone?
  • What would happen if someone were to break in to his home while he was there?
  • What would happen if a fire were to accidentally start at his home?

All of these situations would be disastrous for my father-in-law and are ones we don't like to think about for long.  So how do you keep your special seniors safe and secure without compromising their freedom and independence?  That's where the new VTech CareLine + Home Safety Telephone System comes in!

I reviewed the CareLine + SN6197 Home Safety Telephone System with Safety Pendant from VTech which retails for $119.95, but is currently on sale for $104.99 with FREE SHIPPING.

I received Disney Channel "Teen Beach Movie" products in exchange for a post about the film. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Teen Beach MovieNow that summer is in full swing, our thoughts naturally gravitate toward the sand and the sun.  Who wants to be cooped up indoors when the warm temperatures and bright sunshine are virtually screaming for us to come out and play?  When I was a kid, I used to love watching the classic Beach Blanket Bingo movie starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello.  It was the perfect mix of surfing and singing and a virtual summer-viewing staple.

This year, Disney has created a summer family movie night hit with the release of Teen Beach Movie.  This highly anticipated film with have you and your family singing and dancing the whole way through and will premiere on the Disney Channel Friday, July 19th (8 pm ET/PT).  Keep reading to learn more about the beach party your entire family is invited to!

808 HeadphonesTechnology never ceases to amaze me, for every time I turn around, there's another bigger and better gadget or electronic device released which blows away its predecessors.   In my opinion, one of the biggest improvements that all new technology seems to share is the mind-blowing audio these devices are capable of.

Of course, it's not feasible to blast your stereo, iPod or gaming system to appreciate the state-of-the-art audio unless you happen to have an equally impressive set of headphones.  That's where Audiovox comes in.  I recently had the chance to review one of their newest headsets, the 808 Drift.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the 808 Drift On-Ear Headphones in White from Audiovox, which retail for $59.99.
