ProFlowersMy family has been on a serious health kick recently and we've been dying to find some healthy alternatives to our regular snacks of chips, cookies and cake.  My husband likes ANY kind of food, so he's making this transition well.  I, on the other hand, am very partial to my junk food and desperately need to find some snacks to help me change my ways.

If you happen to know someone who may need a little help eating better, than check out the Deluxe Snack Attack Basket from ProFlowers.  All of the healthy snacks included in this basket come directly from Cherry Moon Farms!  Read on to find out whether this basket was a hit or a miss with my clan.

I reviewed the Deluxe Snack Attack Gift Basketfrom ProFlowers, which retails for $49.98.

The Deluxe Snack Basket from ProFlowers looked so yummy and delicious online that I was very excited when it came to our door!  There were 9 different varieties of snacks included in this basket, and they were all individually wrapped in cellophane packages.  Now, these healthy snacks are also portable!  I immediately stashed a couple of the flavors I liked in my truck so that I could have these at the ready the next time I passed a fast food restaurant hungry.  Here are the delectable treats that were included with this basket:

  • Pistachios (6 oz.)
  • Hollywood Trail Mix (6 oz.)
  • Corn Nuts (6 oz.)
  • Smokehouse Almonds (6 oz.)
  • Honey Roasted Peanuts (6 oz.)
  • Honey Sesame Sticks (6 oz.)
  • Butter Toffee Peanuts (6 oz.)
  • Rice Cracker Mix (6 oz.)
  • Roasted Cashews (6 oz.)

ProFlowers Deluxe Snack Basket

The snacks all tasted pretty good, with my personal favorites being the corn nuts and honey sesame sticks.  Every individual bag we opened tasted very fresh too.  Because these individual packages of snacks didn't have any label identifying what was inside though, eating this basket sometimes felt like eating the Valentine's Day chocolates in that big cardboard heart.  You think you might know what you're eating before you take a bite, but then sometimes you don't and are in for a surprise!

The only thing that really disappointed me about the Deluxe Snack Attack basket was the actual basket it came in, which looked nothing like the picture on their website.  The basket I received was a cheap looking, poorly woven basket which resembled the kind of Easter basket you throw away on Monday.  I was really hoping to receive a better quality basket with the Deluxe Snack Attack gift basket.

Even the regular Snack Attack Basket shown on the ProFlowers website looks a lot better than the basket I received.  As long as you want to buy this gift basket with the sole purpose of only eating the food included, then I would recommend the Deluxe Snack Attack gift basket from ProFlowers.  If you are also interested in keeping and reusing the basket the snacks come in, then I wouldn't purchase this particular item.

What's your favorite type of gift basket to send to someone special?
