Since becoming a blogger, I seem to surf the internet so much that I think I've become waterlogged! There's plenty of great content out there ranging from articles and pictures I find while stumbling, reading my favorite blogs and websites, and communicating through Facebook and email. But with a never-ending list of "mom chores" and managing this blog and our Toothpaste 2 Go business, I often don't get the chance to actually READ these tidbits until hours or even days later.

So what's a busy gal to do when you want to stay informed and entertained by what you find on the web, but on your timetable? Just CLIPIX!

clipix is a brand new online organization site. It combines the best of many social networking sites while still giving you a private place to bookmark and a public forum to share and collaborate. For instance, there are many times I might find a politically incorrect joke, picture or article hilarious, BUT I don't necessarily want to post this for the entire world to see.

I'm also constantly scouring the web for the latest and greatest family-friendly products, but I'm afraid that by being a product review blogger, if I somehow publicly bookmark this item, my blog readers might think that I am inadvertently recommending it when in reality, I know nothing about it.

Clipix Recipes Multiboardclipix can help with both of these scenarios. Here's just a few of the unique features this site offers:

  • Privacy Settings – I'm allowed to decide which boards I'd like to make public and which I'd like to keep private. Most sites do not allow this discretion. With clipix, your business remains your business...until you decide to make it public. IF you ever decide to make it public.
  • Clip ANYTHING – clipix is not just about the cutest cat pictures and the most attractive desserts, though those are welcome here too. The great thing is that I can clip anything and everything I find interesting on the web, regardless of whether it has an amazing graphic associated with it or not. I guess you can say that clipix is an equal opportunity site!
  • Syncboards – These are boards that can be posted to collaboratively, which is perfect for group projects. Let's say that I'm getting married and are actively looking for the perfect wedding centerpieces or bridesmaids' dresses. With a syncboard, I can enlist my family and friends to help me search for what I'm looking for. I can now get my bridesmaids' thoughts and ideas on dresses quickly and easily!
  • Multiboards – Group multiple online clipboards together by category for even further organization. I love this feature for my online recipes collection. Thanks to the multiboards feature, I can make one large "Recipes" board, but then have smaller categories within for items such as side dishes and desserts. Now that's organization!

clipix is still very interactive and friendly and plays nicely with the other major social networking sites, like Facebook and Twitter. Reclipping and commenting are always encouraged here and if you'd like to publicly share or endorse something you find, just move it to a public board and share away.

I'm really loving clipix so far! It allows me the discretion and anonymity I currently lack on other sites without compromising my ability to share and interact with anyone and everyone I choose. Better yet, I can now stay completely organized and clip anything I want to keep track of on the internet.

What types of sites or boards would you create with clipix? Would you share all or keep some boards private?
